What I know there is no progress, it is one mans work on his free time and giving us this great program for free!!! If David let us know how many hours each book takes we can see how many are ready to donate money and see what the $/hour would be but I got a feeling it is not just a money question. I wouldn't mind paying 10$ per book and if le't say 100 more felt the same David could get 1000$ per book hmmm, if it takes 50 hours per book (WILD guess) that is 20$ hours, not that much but at least something.

No progress on Book 8. Gotta finish dissertation first. And you're right, jbryntze: it's not about the money. It's about the love.

My dissertation is an analysis of several different musical settings of a certain poem from Shakespeare's Love's Labor's Lost. Nothing earth-shattering, but there's been precious little written about these pieces, and so it will contain a lot of original analysis. I am anxious for the day when "will contain" becomes "contains"...
No work on Book 8 yet - gotta finish dissertation first.

I've discovered recently Seventh Sense and I have to say that it's a great piece of software. I really enjoyed playing the books using the program, I've finished the seventh book today and I will wait patiently for the release of book 8.
Keep up the good work!

Well, I've not written anything on my dissertation in the last 3 months... ugh. But yesterday, I got bit by the Seventh Sense bug, so I jumped into book 8, and it's now about 20% finished.

I hope my life doesn't sound too sad but that is one of the best news of 2011, 20% done :-) Book 8 is for some reasons one of the books I played less (like book 7) and therefor more fun to read. i guess I found one golden way and always stick with it, with Seventh Sense it is so easy to "test" new ways etc, love it maybe it is 25% done now ;D

I just wanted to wish you luck on your dissertation (and finishing book 8!). I recently defended and graduated with my Ph.D., and I know what kind of a slog it is. I have down time now and was looking to get back into the books. I love playing using Seventh Sense, even though I have mostly original paperbacks of books 1-20.
Anyway, good luck with the efforts, I look forward to later books, and once I start work I'll send a donation to the project.

Thanks for the well wishes. A couple of recent donations(thanks to those who donated!) spurred me out of my inactivity, and I did a good chunk of programming today. There's some really cool stuff in Book 8!

I never turn down money But seriously, I've said it before, and I meant it - It's not about the money. If someone wants to donate to Seventh Sense, then I'm flattered they think it's worth their support. It really is all about the love Book 8 is coming along and will be released, regardless. I am sorely tempted to spend some late nights this week and just finish the book... For Sommerlund and the zzzzzz....
