This is the official thread for bug reports for 1.9.0 and up.
Please include as much information about what lead up to the bug as possible, and how to reproduce it (if possible). The more details you provide, the easier it is to fix the problem!
I don't anticipate that there will be much in the way of bugs - it should be pretty stable and work well. But, if you happen to notice anything odd, let me know about it!
Thanks!

One left over bug that'll I'll get to is when you are reclaiming lost items, if you've scrolled down in the pop-up list, sometimes the scroll arrows disappear, so you can't access the top-most items. Simply re-opening the pop-up re-aligns the items, so you can get them. Not a game-breaker, but needs fixed!

Not a Seventh Sense bug or alike but in book 9 section 172 you can take a "Brass Whistle" and it is mentioned if nothing is mentioned it is a Backpack item... it is not mentioned anything and still it goes to Special Items.. which is correct but then there should be written * Brass Whistle (Special item)

That seems like a mistake on my part. Sometimes when I program the books, my logical sense takes over, and I can't see that a whistle would take as much backpack space as a meal or a rope... I'll see about changing that.

Hmmm I get 2 hands bonus with all weapons... even with Vashna's dagger, is that correct? And this bonus even even out the 2 loss of EP for PSI attack (which I assumes is by the rules but I find that strange) So I always tick the box for the first round and if enemy is not immune to mindblast or weaker forms and there is no stress to finish a battle within certain combat rounds I uncheck it to save EP

Hmmm I get 2 hands bonus with all weapons... even with Vashna's dagger, is that correct? no, that shouldn't be. I wonder what I did to mess that up? I'll check it out right away. Hmm, this is wrong, too. I need to re-examine a little bit of the applicable Hardcore combat code... See what's going on... Thanks for letting me know about these!

Okay, the bug of two-handed weapons in Hardcore mode cancelling out Psi-surge damage is fixed. At the same time, I've ensured that you *only* get the bonus from genuine two-handed weapons (no Dagger of Vashna!)... I've even taken into account the forced single-handed combats that occur in a couple of places.
As I re-ordered the two-handed weapon bonus timing, I made it so that it will only cancel out damage done by your enemy. It will not cancel out damage that you cause to yourself by either using psi-attacks, or really evil weapons (e.g. Helshezag)

Also added some code that checks for an existing campaign file, in case your resume file becomes corrupted or deleted. You can resume from this campaign file (though it puts you at the beginning of the last book you've played, as though you didn't start it.)

Wow you are a fast fixer I don't want to take away any of your focus on book 10 ;-) a minor.. I saw on some where you get to pick items such as 6 arrows or alike and you can only take 3 you count down to 3.. and some meals says 5 Meals but when you take one meal it still stays 5 meals.. but once you taken all 5 it is greyed out so all is good, just curious the thought behind that?

That's just a lack of fore-sight and consistency on my part.
The difference between arrows/crowns and Meals, is that you often will only want to pick up 1 or 2 meals. But you will usually want to pick up as many crowns or Arrows as you can... so I make it an all at once "grab", versus picking one at a time.

Dear Everyone, Bug fix 1.9.1 is now up. All bugs reported in the thread so far (except Brass Whistle issue) are resolved. Yes, Brass Whistle issue is complex (must change it to a Backpack Item - but what if the player already has 8 backpack items? Ugh!)
Please ensure that you are running 1.9.1 before reporting a new bug or suggestion. Thanks!

Why Lore Circle of Spirit count as 1CS,2EP instead of 3CS,3EP? Castle Death.

Why Lore Circle of Spirit count as 1CS,2EP instead of 3CS,3EP? Castle Death. You must be playing on Prodigy, Hardcore, or some other custom ruleset with "alternate lore circle bonus" selected. This allows the player much more freedom in the selection of disciplines, without the pressure of "having to get lore circle of the spirit" just to stand a chance in some of the next few books(like book 9). If you really want to see the +3/+3 bonus, you can play a game with "by the book" ruleset Edit: Oh yes, having the actual Lore-circle completed (having the correct 4 disciplines) still counts when the text asks things like "If you've completed the Lore Circle of the Spirit, turn to xxx". So, it still matters for things like that, even in Hardcore or Prodigy modes.

I found a small bug in 1.8 and I don't think it's been reported/fixed yet: In book 6 if you defeat Chanda the taxidermist you get a Map of Varetta at section 8, and then the same map again at section 16. It makes sense that you can take the map already in section 8, and there are other paths to section 16 so you need to be able to take it there too, but not if you already have it from section 8. As far as I'm aware it's not possible to ever find more than one map of Varetta.

I'm just enjoying book 9 (version 1.9.1, prodigy mode). It's fantastic and fast progress One small bug: sections 316 and 182, I had -4 penalty in unarmed combat, although I possessed Weaponmastery and have 6 disciplines (Principalin) (should be -2 for Tutelaries and above) Another issue is about meal requirements in Zaaryx (sections 218, 175 and 11). I possessed Huntmastery, and also in the footnote there is stated that Zaaryx should be considered wasteland, so I should use Huntmastery (but not Hunting) The third is more serious. In section 259, the buttons for Sword and Dagger should be mandatory (red), because, right after that, in section 248 you have to use either of them, and if you do not possess Psi-surge and the rank of Principalin, you get stuck here...
