Excellent bug reports, friends. formentar: Map of Varetta is now not selectable if you already have one when you get to section 16 in book 6. Honza: Oops, I had it only check for Tutelary, not Tutelary and above! Now fixed for proper -2CS penalty. - Zaaryx Meals: Yes, as I read the description of Huntmastery, I see that you *should* be able to use Huntmastery here. Now, you can use it (though not Hunting). - You don't actually get stuck; I allow the player to choose "attack with sword". I really dislike forcing the player to pick anything up when it's just sitting there. I'd almost rather do a check for whether the player has a sword, and if not, dynamically change the text to accommodate it: If you wish to attack him with your bare hands, turn to 3. (Then, in the next section: ) ...he is awestruck by your powerful unarmed fighting skills. I don't know... what's your opinion? Certainly easier to just force them to pick up the Sword and Dagger, but seems so canned - what if LW doesn't want them? Maybe I'm over-thinking this... Edit: Okay, as I look at some of the subsequent sections, such as slicing the arrows in half, I realize that I really need to make sure that they pick the sword up... Red buttons it is!

There's a typo in the hint text for one of the Magnakai series awards:
"Try a Hardcore run for the first 12 books, and after obtaining the Sommerswerd weild it in at least 3 out of every 4 combats."

Just stumbled across another one: During the equipment selection at the start of a book, if you select the quiver + 6 arrows option and then subsequently deselect it, you actually get to keep the arrows (though not the quiver, and your total number of arrows is still limited to 6 per quiver).
Example: I finished Castle Death with one quiver holding three arrows. Upon starting Jungle of Horrors I picked up another quiver for a total of two quivers and 9 arrows. I then changed my mind and picked something else instead, leaving me with one quiver and...6 arrows, to my surprise.

Don't know if this has been reported elsewhere but here goes. Section 296 of Book 2 FotW doesn't appear to kill me properly. If you ridiculuous enough to try to kill the entire town guard after killing whoever you think poisoned you, and EP is reduced to 0 then it doesn't automatically flash up with the "You've been killed" box with an option to restart, so you have to click on Main Menu to restart and continue. All other battles where you get killed during the fight seem to bring up the automatic "You've been killed" box.

Good catch, Red Kite. I've killed those guards, too - LW can be quite the blood-soaked anti-hero!

Especially if you're trying to get the Mad murderer of Gorn Cove medal!
Took me rather a lot of attempts and a good bit of "cheating" - rerolling until I got a 19/29 with a single-handed weapon I could buy cheaply in Ragadorn and Mindblast and still I was killed several times by you know who or left so weak on EP that the guards finish the job! The number of times those guards killed me and the game just sat there looking at me stupidly as if to say "Well whaddya expect?"

I think you'll be able to tell that I've spent far too long re-doing FotW!
Another slight 'bug' cropped up when trying to win the "Profiteer of Tarnalin" (bribery/corruption) "medal".
---SPOILER--- I made the mistake of taking Sixth Sense as one of my disciplines. So I got to FotW:Section 168 with no money. That meant I went to Section 25. My Sixth Sense took me to Section 116 immediately allowing me to "win" some money. I emptied my purse so that I could proceed to 'let' a friend pay for my room, but Joe's text doesn't allow for you to do something as stupid as throwing your money away as soon as you've "won" it. So the red highlight text (hand over) in Section 116 stays highlighted and allows you to pay for the room with no money and proceed to Section 314. Needless to say I did a "do-over" and didn't take Sixth Sense with me the second time, and won the "medal". ---END SPOILER---
Good luck with working out how to re-program that one!

This isn't a bug per se, but rather an observation:
Should Hunting discipline be allowed in the following sections of FotW?
Section148 - You're travelling on the roof of a coach towards Ragadorn and must eat. It seems unlikely that the driver would really stop to allow you to climb down and go hunting.
Section37 - You're travelling inside a coach towards Ragadorn and must eat. It seems unlikely that the driver would really stop to allow you to climb down and go hunting.
Section284: - You're travelling through Tarnalin at breakneck speak towards Hammerdal. It seems unlikely that Lord Axim of Ryme would stop the coach to allow you to climb down to hunt Noodnics (or any other tunnel dwelling creatures) for your dinner.
Sorry. Probably this should be handled in a discussion elsewhere.
You'll be pleased to know that I've won all the medals for FotW so that should be it!
Now to work out how to win the "tempt fate" medal in FftD, which is causing me no end of trouble! Then maybe I'll have a stab at the medals in CoK!

Book 1 section 231, if I don't equip with a weapon I don't get minus 4 in CS? I run in Prodigy so maybe that is why? (yes I just started an award hunting campaign)

Not a bug - You are not actually unarmed! See, you have a sword and an axe. You will only get the unarmed penalty if you actually have no weapons (or weapon-like SI) on your person, or if the text specifies.
Now, you'll only get bonuses (like weaponskill, or special weapon bonuses, e.g. sommerswerd) if you have the right weapon actually equipped. But you won't get a penalty for "unarmed" if you have any kind of hand-weapon on you.

I wanted to get -4 in this battle, means I must drop the weapons, I thought it waws enough to just unequip them.

Just ran into a bug for book 6. In Varetta's inn, when you don't have any gold, you get the option to pay with either a weapon or a backpack item. I gave the innkeeper my last backpack item, then in the dormitory I couldn't progress further since I could not select a backpack item to be stolen. Maybe add a check there to bypass the stealing part if you have no items in your backpack?
I wanted to report Chanda's Varetta's Map bug too (you can get 2 maps in your inventory) but it seems this one was already fixed.

Okay - Bugs fixed: - No more "refilling your arrows" from the equipment section. - Fixed the "no death message" on town guards combat (it affected a few more than just that one combat - fixed those too!) - Can't change the gamebook logic to avoid the effects of Sixth Sense on earning that medal in book 2 - so, I added a hint to the award mentioning that Sixth Sense will interefere. - Book 6 - item won't be stolen if you have no items to steal! (now allowing player to continue, of course)
As to the Meals - it may not make perfect sense, but I think it's permissible to use Hunting - The carriage *will* stop, I hope, for a potty break, at least, and LW could quickly snag some berries/shrooms/birds eggs or dig up a few worms to slurp down. (mmm!) Same in the cave - it's a long trip! He could pick some cave fungus, or stomp on a rat, and eat it raw. (MMMM!) Either way, Lone Wolf has obtained Sustenance! (Actually, I went ahead and added the same option as appears in the Mines in book 4 - Even if you have Hunting, you can choose *not* to use it to get a meal, so that your personal interpretation of the situation will be one of the choices you have.)
Okay, I think all bugs are fixed that have been reported...
