Book 7 and 11 are my least favorite books for the only reason that they don't contribute to the story, they are like separate adventures. Book 10 is a favorite, it got links/references to book 6,8 and 9.
Anyway thought we might need a progress thread sooner or later.

Next you'll be creating a schedule and deadlines for Dave 28th August sound good? Book 10 is a favorite, it got links/references to book 6,8 and 9. I better make time to play book 10 then, will be my first time reading it.

Anyway thought we might need a progress thread sooner or later. I'm afraid we won't really *need* this thread for a while. Now that summer break has hit, ironically I won't have much time to spend on Seventh Sense. (I'm spending all day in the Library, working on my dis-hurt-tation.) Though, that reminds me, I ought to put the latest bug-fix version up before I leave for Pennsylvania at 2AM...

Enjoy the trip.
You know, I always enjoyed working in the library during final year in uni, nice atmosphere. Hope it's going well.

No progress on Book 11, but - I finished a chapter on my dissertation! Yay!
(I also spent a little time this evening doing some upgrading to my editor program for increased speed of book entry... I bet I could enter the entirety of book 1 in a single day!)

Finished the next chapter on my dissertation!
This has turned into more of a progress thread of my dissertation, but I'm not giving any percentages... I will keep you all posted as to its progress, since book 11's progress is also dependent on my finishing the paper!
(Also, just released bugfix 1.10.2)

Finished another major section of my dissertation this morning. I'm pretty close to half done with it.
My goal is to be completely done with the writing in three weeks time... Wish me luck!

Would you say working on SS has improved your efficiency / discipline in getting things done?

Not so much. It's easy to work on something you enjoy - it doesn't really take any discipline at all... It's making yourself do things you don't want to do that takes discipline (case in point: my dissertation.)
BTW, I officially declare that I am half-done with said dissertation. (This does not include the various edits the will be mandated by my committee, but that's cake walk in comparison to the initial writing.)

Finished another major section today! That's 4 out of 7 major sections completed. If I keep up this pace, I'll finish it quickly!
(p.s. My life if so totally out of balance right now, I really dislike it... I hope it's worth it!)

I'm working on my thesis right now too. And i know exactly what you mean, my life is completly off balance at the moment too. I hate it. Unfortunately my work doesn't make such good progress as yours. Hope that will change soon.
Good luck with the remaining parts of your dissertation.

Just wanted to drop a line, registered especially, your amazing online aid inspired me to actually reread these adventures for the first time in almost 15 years. I stopped at book 10 where you leave off... just can't get myself to continue without it.
Being "forced" into a path because there is no backtracking pages is just great. *If there is please don't tell me though, haha* In the past I would sometimes idly follow the other options for a page or so out of curiousity but that does take away from the immersion of the story. Now a decision is final and being able to rely on software to take care of the details really makes the adventure more immersive.
Hope you get some time soon to continue this brilliant project!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the software! I look forward to resuming my work on it, because that would mean I'm done with my paper! Speaking of which, I'm still progressing on said paper. Reached the mid-point of my 6th major section tonight. Got some feedback from my pickiest committee member, and will be going through some previous sections to do some proof-reading, but the overall opinion was that I'm on the right track.
