Ehi, I'm very proud of my Silver Bow !!! It makes very hard to miss the target in combination with Weaponskill. I always HATED that part of book n.8 where you risk to lose it... the first time I played the book, the damned enemy destroyed my bow and I suicided to restart the book... this teaches you a very important lesson: NEVER borrow your bow to anyone !

Depends on what you desires, you might want to enhance your mind force ability (by Grey Crystal Ring) rather than your sharp firing ability.

It gives you a bonus in psychic combat against shadow reavers (I think that's what they're called) in book 11.
Hint: you don't necessarily need to sacrifice your bow to get it.

Not necessarily. You could also use Nexus to levitate it in front of Altan's target. Hahaha! Actually, the archery tournament would be a great time to take any Alether that you've got stored away in that backpack.

What I like to do is paint my bow silver. When Altan sees that I ALREADY HAVE a silver bow, he will get all distracted.
Altan: "Everyone has a silver bow. Maybe it isn't that special after all. I guess I won't bother trying my best."
Then I would win the archery contest hands-down. Then I would paint the Silver Bow brown just to confuse the bad guys.
