Just thought we should add this thread - I know Dave said he would take a break before doing anything on this. No pressure, great job so far!

If I remember remember correctly, in one of the books of the Magna-Kai there is a time based riddle (you must solve it within 30 seconds).

Maybe it isn't related directly to book 13 (but since I can't remember wich book, maybe it is). In the "riddle" section it tells you to track time with a watch, and if you can't solve it in the time given you must turn in the "wrong answer" section

you are right!!! but it is book 21 section 40 and I'm not sure Seventh Sense will ever reach that book www.projectaon.org/en/xhtml/lw/21votm/sect40.htm"If you would like to accept this challenge, use the second hand of a clock or a wristwatch to time yourself while you work out the answer. If you complete the riddle in 30 seconds or less, turn to the section number that is the same as your answer"

This is because i saw Magnakai instead of Grand Magnakai... you are right!!! but it is book 21 section 40 and I'm not sure Seventh Sense will ever reach that book www.projectaon.org/en/xhtml/lw/21votm/sect40.htm"If you would like to accept this challenge, use the second hand of a clock or a wristwatch to time yourself while you work out the answer. Sevent Sense will not include the New Order books so this time feature isn't required.

As the source is open, anyone who'd like to make a New Order version of Seventh Sense is welcome to do so. It would be relatively easy to incorporate a timer feature for a riddle. I just am personally only interested in the Adventures of Lone Wolf himself, so I'll only be doing up to book 20. (+Grey Star.)

Any progress? 2%? I understand it is a huge project to do book 13 with all changes, once done maybe 14 and up goes faster.

I did actually do a little work on it the other day. Always slower progress when starting a new series... I did try to take into account some of the GM stuff when I progressed to the Magnakai, so some of it is already in place. Because I'm having to code some new stuff just to get going on book 13/GM series, a percentage doesn't apply in the same way it would in a normal book's development. 1% is optmistic... but once I can hit ~10%, that means enough stuff is in place that it ought to take off pretty quickly.

Will special items that can no longer be used due to GM restrictions still be kept in the monastery for safekeeping(so we can still have a record of them) or will they be deleted outright?

What about having an option to allow you to keep them? Or at least allow you to keep any special items that improve your stats. The Bronin Vest comes to mind.

I think this should be a option for Prodigy/Custom settings... and maybe let the By-the-Book/Hardcore players to keep their old inventories and simply not be able to use the restricted items

Thanks for the update! Book 13 will be the first book I play on SS that I didn't know all paragraphs from books. I got all books in book format but somehow book 13 is so heavy and be happy to see if I understood the new rules... SS is perfect to learn rules also and so easy to just start a game
