Hi guys, Just wanted to let you know that between the (early) birth of my litle baby girl (Eva) and the beginning of the school semester, I have had NO time to do anything with Seventh Sense. I think I promised an update earlier this week, but it's going to have to wait. I know you'll all understand - I just wanted to let you know what's going on!
I hope 2012 is treating everyone well! I've got some serious cool ideas for an update, but it could involve an actual total rewrite of the program, and that's doable, but far from ideal... Maybe I should just press ahead and finish books 13-20 with the current iteration of the program, and then think about my major changes...
Since my dissertation is finished (still riding high from the euphoria of that!), I will be able to really dive into books 13-20 soon. I'm excited, because I've never actually read them yet, so it should be very interesting!
EDIT: fixed typo in "dissertation" - I had spelled it "diessertation", like "die-ssertation", which is somewhat ironic... I would love to have plunged a knife into that thing! "Die, Sir Tation! Die!"

Congrats on your daughter! That's wonderful.
Regarding SS, just do books 13-20 with the current program. Design stuff can come later. I take that same approach at work when I do system development - make it work first, worry about bells/whistles later.
The GM series is an interesting creature... on the one hand, you visit some cool locales, and pick up some awesome skills (no, really, you basically turn into a demigod), but for the most part they're rather linear and made "difficult" by ridiculous combats. Think book 11 was bad? Oh, just you wait.
Edit: Also, instadeath rolls return with a vengeance. There's usually at least one at the end of every book.

Grats on the offspring! We'll understand if you don't have a lot of time for 13 - 20 in between feeding the baby and sleeping. I think now that you've got a stable format, you should try to get the Grandmaster done under that format. I'm not sure how SS could get better at this point, so I'm kinda curious what you are thinking about.

First of all congratulations on all that you have accomplished last year... having such a busy life & still able to provide us with Seventh Sense... I don't know how you did that...
Anyway, it is OK if you do not have time (for now) for the GM series... the 12 books already out should be able to keep everyone happy for a long time...

Congratulations! By all means enjoy your well-earned time off from Seventh Sense, now that book 12 has been released and two series are entirely playable, there's no need to rush things.
