Ok, I thought it might be beneficial for a list of the diciplines I used, as well as why.
Book 1:
Weaponskill:and hope to god I get the matching weapon as soon as possible. +2 When you are at 10 CS is too good to pass up.
Mindblast. +2 CS? Thank you!
Healing: 20END? Oh yeah, I'm gonna need to heal some, that's for sure.
Sixth Sense: Get to keep the storyline accurate, plus a free look at some Laumspur, 20GC, and a Dagger to boot!
Camoflage: Guaranteed avoidance of one battle, and a shot at another later on? Perfect!
Book 2:
Animal Kinship: Uh Huh... Moving right along...
Book 3:
Hunting: So Lone Wolf dosen't get his cloak wet while he's jumping over the ice.
Book 4:
Mind over Matter: No real reason, just getting ready for book 5.
Book 5:
Mindshield: Take THAT you freaky Yas, you!
Book 6:
Weaponmastery: +3 CS, and +3 to any RN# with a bow? Perfect!
Nexus: So Lone Wolf dosen't catch his death of cold against those zombies, plus preparation for book 8.
Psi-Surge: +4 is a good thing when necessary, plus preparation for book 8 again.
Book 7:
Divination: So my escape dosen't end impaled on a crossbowman's bolt, plus book 8 again.
Book 8:
Psi-Shield: Spirit circle just in time for the Helegast! Boo-yah!
(Yes, I know, I could go around the city, but I really need that Grey Crystal Ring for book 11, so I have to bite the bullet and fight big ugly.)
Book 9:
Huntmastery: Some avoidance of nasty CS losses and possible bad rolls upped, plus Circle of Fire
Book 10:
Pathmanship: A useful bonus against the frog-things in the swamp, plus book 11 preparation.
Book 11:
Invisibility: Another circle down, plus almost gauranteed evasion against the dragon.
Book 12:
Curing: Silver Bracers and Bronin Vest for free? Nothing like a +5/+2 to make everybody look like a real pushover!
Book 13:
Grand Pathmanship: Getting through the start of the forest with only a -4END loss, plus a simple kill on Exterminius (well, simpler kill, not an easy one)
Kai-Surge: +8CS and a free shot at the Gigantinates? Trust me, you won't regret this!
Assimilance: Chance at avoiding that thing after the Copper Key door, plus that EVIL bridge roll! (Plus some other places, of course)
Grand Huntmastery: Being agile REALLY helps in this book, plus that bridge roll again. I used to have Kai-Alchemy in this slot, but that bridge roll forced me to change my mind.
Book 14:
Kai-Alchemy: The ability to put an arrow right through that monkey thing is too good to pass up.
Book 15:
Kai-Screen: No real reason, just something I thought would be good to have for later books. This can really be replaced to taste, depending on what LoV has in store. But I think Kai-Screen is really good there, from what I've heard.
There they are, the choices I made. You are welcome to debate them all you want, but it would take a really good argument to make me change my mind on most of these.
