Has anyone else tried it out? I've gotten quite a ways thru before I understood any of the interface or combat system, and now I'm totally stuck. I'm disappointed in the app as it's so combat focused and there's no training or tutorial. That seems like a HUGE gap in creating this game---in particular the mechanics around collecting wood/steel/leather for upgrading equipment (I had no idea what it was for or how to upgrade until it was too late), the absurd difficulty in the combat system considering the lack of explanation, and how the inventory system works. Does anyone have hints? I'll have to start completely over as I'm stuck in a combat with so little life that I die every time I try to start it, and there's no way to charge up beforehand.

I have completed it my friend. Stick with it, it is fiddly like you say with the combat and the lock-picking. My advice is to pay attention to the wolf bar on the left that tells you two things - first it tells you how long before you attack but just as important it then tells you how long your opportunity to act is (before refilling and making you wait). I strongly suggest use as many different actions as you can. Start with shield stun using the green bar then some magic using the blue - green refills with time but blue only after killing an enemy. I love using Animal Kinship. Sixth sense helps you dodge & counter and healing obviously heals. Mind over matter helped attack and stun foes. Generally the first thing I do when fighting 3 foes is use the shield stun attack on one then attack a different foe. If they are stunned they cannot attack you. Stun works well. Do not be afraid to use potions liberally, you have to until you can get good equipment. When the merchant is unlocked go explore to upgrade rather than progress the story. I assume we will return to Rockstarn because there are some materials I haven't found... yet. Also when one foe is almost dead I use the triple-dagger attacking each foe to finish him and harm the others. Meditate as often as you can even if you are only a little wounded. It gets easier as you upgrade or maybe just because I practised. So Stun, Variety, Potions and Practise Practise Practise I'd say. Also be prepared for LW to counter, you get to learn the animation and know what's coming. Obviously read what tutorials they provide. I died at least half a dozen times before I won my first fight, can be very frustrating too.

Besides the tipps for combat, how good is the game in your opinion? I have looked at the alpha and that looked very good for me. If they pimp up the graphics a bit and produce a version for the PC, I would buy it. If it is any good, of course .

I'd love to try it but, alas, it's only available on fancy expensive gadgets I cannot afford. It doesn't seem to be available in a simple normal computer friendly format .

Blood on the snow is the featured free app on the apple App Store this week. It looks great but it takes up twice as much memory as it lists in the description.

I am through my second run through now. I can tell you that make sure you upgrade your bags and armor before you get too far. It REALLY does lean on the kai disciplines in the later battles.

hello everyone I'm really enjoying Blood on the Snow Act 2. I've just been thru a triple combat section where first two Giaks came, then a Drakkarim then more Giaks! Combat advice: Visit the merchant to buy Kai Power and Vitality potions and repair armour (Kai Armour especially). Buy ''rest'' to restore all bars to maximum. Sell unneeded items (Ash, Steel, rings and necklaces) to upgrade the main attack weapon. Focus on killing the strongest opponent first, use magic sparingly...use poison darts to weaken enemies...use Shield defend as Lone Wolf's ''turn'' is coming to an end... or use Camouflage is you have to avoid being attacked Also worth buying and keeping available for combat is the Power Flare. This stuns opponents, which means they miss their turn and you get to have another attack at them. Before starting each combat, make sure you have healed up Vitality and Kai Power by eating meals/food etc to top up energy bars. Enemies who use their shields should be attacked later - always attack those not on defensive stance. As your Vitality bar reduces, use the ''regeneration'' discipline to replenish energy as you attack enemies...then as Lone Wold's last move, use Sheild defend Always make sure you have enough Endurance left to defend as the last move in Lone Wolf's turn....avoid being left exposed! Hope that helps Good Luck & godspeed.........for Sommerlund and the Kai! by the way...the words in the book when you Tap to get closer are the first verse of the Sommersang....the national hymn of Sommerlund Harjinder [aka Sunmaster] [aka Harjinder Jarre-Landar on facebook] www.myspace.com/nodefrequencyMy music albums available for download on iTunes & Amazon: Living Frequence (by Node Frequency) and Humanology (by Biorhythm)

I am still torn between going dual wield or going sword and shield. Not convinced entirely that you gain a benefit from either one...

Sorry if a bit off topic but is there a place on these forums to report bugs on the app for an iPhone? The game crashes to home screen when going to first battle scene. Please move post if necessary. Thanks!
