Hey,
I've been trying to compile the latest build for mac but running the make command in the directory spits out a missing sdl error and trying in Xcode has driven me around the bend with semantic errors and the like. Of course I have to admit I haven't really done much programming/compiling before so is there any chance that someone could kindly give me a few points or steps to getting it to work?

I've successfully compiled a new version of the source code on Mac. Any chance I can get it uploaded and posted to the website?

Sure! If you are able to upload it to something like Google drive or Dropbox, send me a link via email, and I'll download it, and put it up on the Seventh Sense site! Thanks for doing that (Sam Lantinga, who has done the builds in the past, is super duper busy, and may not be able to do that for us anymore...)

I've sent a Dropbox link in a message - happy to be able to help in some way.
Also, is the app currently getting updates and fixes? I have a few problems on the Mac - keyboard shortcuts not working, for example (Command+Q for example). Also, I can't seem to change the resolution. If I find some time, I might look into fixing these.

You have to set resolution before beginning the adventure (selectable in the Options menu). Yes, the program is still getting bugfixes and updates...
I just finished my big show this weekend. So, I'll be able to actually devote some time to Lonewolf now!

That's great news! Looking forward to some interesting updates. My main feature request would be drag-and-drop reordering of lists, instead of the current up/down arrows. Also, I noticed that the MacOS app icon is pretty low-resolution, especially on a Retina Mac. Maybe you have a new version which can be used next time it's recompiled? Thanks again for the best LW app out there!

is 256x256 considered a low-res icon? There are 2 icons of that res for the main program - I'm not sure how you'd specify one or the other for a Mac build. If indeed, that's a low-res icon, I can try and find a higher-res image to use. You can find those two icons (lw6.ico and lw8.ico) in the "data/icons" folder.

Here's a post with some recommendations on icon sizes, especially mentioning retina: stackoverflow.com/questions/6337787/how-can-i-set-the-icon-for-a-mac-application-in-xcodeBTW, I am currently playing through book 13 (the first Grand Master book) and it looks like my Curing has stopped working? I am using the first option for Healing Discipline rules, and 29 of my damage is from combat, but I get no points for going through sections. Am I missing something?

You must review the "Loyalty Bonus" info for going into the GM series - if you choose new stats (GM-base stats, instead the old Kai-based stats), you give up *all* loyalty bonuses. That's the default, anyway. I'm pretty sure I included an option to customize that...
Thanks for the icon info. I will check it out soon.

There seems to be a mismatch between the option text and the actual functionality, then. The tooltip for the CS/EP Stats Transfer in the middle option says that "(Re-rolling will negate any prior Lore-circle bonuses, and will negate any prior discipline/loyalty bonuses except the healing of +1 EP per section)". In my case, I left all options at By The Book except for Initial Stats Method, which I set to Prodigy. In this case, I understand that if I would do a reroll (which I did, with the max stats option still set), I should still get the +1 healing.
As far as the images, that makes sense why the icon is so low-res. The only png in the package is very low-res. So basically, we just need better images in png, and I can repackage that for you.

Thanks for pointing that inconsistency out - I'll double check that as I get around to working on the next version!
Should be an easy fix for the .png, then. I'll make it 256x256 (instead the 64x64) - this should make it look lots prettier!

Any update on those icons? Also, let me know if you need anything else before posting that new Mac version. Maybe we should get those icons in first?

Doh! It's been a long time, hasn't it... Sorry for the long delay. Real life is kicking my behind right now. Today is my birthday, so I am taking some time to check in on the forum. Sorry to not have much progress to report, but even though it's been on the backburner for a while, rest assured, the project has not been abandoned! As soon as I have got the next package ready to go, I'll be sure to message you, and you can do the updated mac package, with better icon (I have got the icon done, at least!)

I totally understand about trying to find time for something that you're passionate about, but just isn't top on the priority list. I sometimes long for the days of being able to dedicate tons of time to stuff like this. Just let me know when you are ready to jump back in, and keep up the excellent work!
