Hello all,
So I read and collected all the older versions when I was in my teens. Fast forward to 2010/11 and I decided to search LW online and find project aon. AND they are making collectors editions. Was in a crap job in a crap city at the time and only manage to get #1.
Fast forward and mongoose not longer has the books as the rights go to mantikore.
Mantikore only seems to be printing the new books ( and charging obscene prices for the few older ones they have ).
Im assuming that Mongoose wont allow reprinting?
I checked project aon and here but didnt see any official word on it.
Side question: anyone selling #2-17 who ships to the US?

It's not a question of Mongoose allowing reprinting: Joe Dever owns the rights for the publication of the books and makes deals with publishers that are interested in printing them. He first gave the rights to Mongoose (books 1 to 32, plus novels, plus other LW stuff) and then took them back. Mantikore then got the rights for books 18 to 28. Another deal was made for book 29 alone. We can expect similar deals for each of the three following books.
So, the real question is: who wants to buy the rights to republish book 1 to 17? Joe probably wants them to be republished, but if there's currently no publisher interested for the price Joe is asking for, then you'll have to wait for a while.
Or you could learn a new language since the series (the new Collector's Edition) is currently being printed from the start in Sweden, Germany and Italy.

A quick search of eBay shows mostly the American editions. Prices for the Collector's copies are "way up there". Amazon isn't much better for the Collector's editions though many of the American versions can be bought for as cheaply as $0.01.
For now, you could always get the American editions of Books 2-17. As Black Cat said, until an English publisher is willing to republish 1-17 there aren't a lot of options.
