I can't finish the first book from magnakai series 'The Kingdom of Terror'. In the last part of the book I have to choose between using Kalte Firesphere or not. If I use Kalte Firesphere I die. If I don't use it I die. Can anyone help me? P.S. Sorry for my bad English

That section is a dead end.

You should try to follow a different route, maybe try a different selection of Disciplines at the start
Both exits from section 339 lead to a gruesome death

This is a rare situation in a Lone Wolf book where the book has become unwinnable but instead of an insta-death section, you have a choice and thus the illusion that maybe the book is still winnable.
The most notable instance of this is in the Caverns of Kalte where you can continue for quite some time and even discover some interesting information on a "dead end" path that you can't learn via a winning path.

No, the biggest ones are in book 2. Sell the Seal of Hammerdal or fail to retrieve it. The book is no longer winnable then. Or even nowadays, fail to meet the helghast and you can't win the book. (But 7th sense version would still allow you if you have animal kinship.) The book 5 dead end is like 2 sections back, and dead-ends with such low depth are quite common throughout the books. I assume the dead end in book 3 is a result of failing to meet up with 'Loi-Kymar', or are you thinking of something else?

I assume the dead end in book 3 is a result of failing to meet up with 'Loi-Kymar', or are you thinking of something else? Yep, I was referring to not saving Loi-Kymar. It is notable in terms of that you can actually survive the book and not die, but still lose, the only time that's possible in the Lone Wolf books (and in fact once you don't rescue him, this becomes the best possible ending; you can also still die, too). Also notable in terms of, as I said, the revelation that you can get (which I won't divulge here) which adds to the plot. Book 2 does have by far the longest dead end, that's true, either if you lose the Seal, or if you have neither Animal Kinship nor get the Magic Spear. Another possible long one in book 10 if you lack Nexus or a Dagger, though as I recall you have to get unlucky on a random number roll as well to be doomed. I was thinking more along the lines of it being impossible to win at a given section regardless of what equipment or disciplines you have. It doesn't seem like even short "dead ends" of this type are too common, but now that I'm thinking about it, I might compile such a list. The flow charts showing each possible path through each book on this site are a great aid for researching this.

Take the right path away from the Helghast and the coastal road. The meeting with the Knight of the White Mountain and the soldier ecnounter at the military bridge over the Rymerift are all impossible to go through for a successful run, and it is like 25 to 40 sections or something like that.

If by "now" you are referring to the revised print edition of book two, I have no knowledge of that. I am going by the Project Aon versions. Thanks for the info, though.

Thanks for the info, though. 7th sense version has updated it so you can get pass. The "proper" translated Project Aon version, well.. They are dead sections then.
