Since the book is finished (as evidenced by the fact that it's been published in Italian), perhaps JD could consider releasing the book as an e-book for digital download, and then use the sales of the digital copy to help finance the costs of publishing paper copies?
Just a thought; I don't know how difficult/costly it would be to do this or much of the inner workings of the publishing industry, so others who have more knowledge feel free to explain why this wouldn't be feasible, but it would be a way of both getting the book to market sooner, and also perhaps he would be able to bypass a publisher altogether or at least defray costs.

Only 2 months after the announcement that they *would* publish it?! Sheesh. Frustrating to no end for poor Mr. Dever, no doubt.

Just fyi to those that pre-ordered LW29, today I received an email from Cubicle 7 regarding the cancellation of those orders. They are offering a full refund or 150% store credit. Provided they come through with the refund/credit in a timely manner this seems, imo, an acceptable resolution for those that pre-ordered the book, especially given the headaches some readers encountered with getting a refund from Mongoose.
I've opted for the store credit, I haven't yet tried the Lone Wolf adventure game and plan to order that along with some of the supporting maps once they are in stock (no more pre-orders for a while, I think). I will post again once I actually receive the credit, but everything seems on the up and up so far. If you pre-ordered and haven't heard from Cubicle 7 within a few days, you might contact them about your order.
Now if JD could just resolve the issues with publishing an English version of LW29, and get those older CE's back in print, everything would be perfect! Until then, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a new publication deal....

Whoever republishes it, I think *THIS* time I will place an order for the whole lot!! Back when Mongoose started, I was too poor at the time to go for their "mega-deal"... Ive yet to see any of these blimmin' collectors editions!!

I'm disappointed that Cubicle 7 won't be able to produce the solo books but I think we should commend them for not screwing over customers by going ahead with a project they knew was doomed from the start.

I wholeheartedly agree. It's better to back peddle now than after another stuff up. It's a shame though

So does that mean no one is publishing the CEs now (in English anyway)? Not Mantikore? By the way looking at Mantikore's shop through Google translate is pretty funny: The New Quay Warriors: The Pirates of Shadaki

What with this and the board game Kickstarter, it is a pretty lousy time for the Wolf.
