I'm considering selling all my Collector's Editions, but many of them have my personalised dedication from Joe Dever in them.
Does anyone know what these might be worth, compared to non-personalised copies? I looked on eBay but values seem to vary widely.
I have books 1-4, 6-13, 17-22. They are all rounded spines, except #3 which is shorter and has a square spine.
Many thanks in advance.

From what I've seen recently (sold listings, not the many spam listings of book 1 for £285+ because that's what amazon autoprice says):
1-4: £30 6-8: £10 (glut on the market, the owner of mongoose sold a bunch at £0.99). 8-12: £30 13: £50+ 17: £80+ 18-22: £15-£25, a lot of these available direct from Joe currently.
14-16: Oede herb and Shianti bones, actually harder to acquire than LW 28 original edition due to not being up for sale at any price, at any point. Well, 15 anyway, 14 and 16 show up rarely.

Well, 15 anyway, 14 and 16 show up rarely. Thanks so much Mark, that's really helpful. I've seen prices similar to what you said, so I'm guessing that personalised copies would go for a bit less (since a general 'Best wishes, Joe Dever' message is much more desirable to a collector than 'To Matthew, Best Wishes, Joe Dever'). HI Matt, Dont do it unless you really have to. You may regret it. Duk3 Hi Duk, it's fine, I'm happy to part with these. I only ever wanted to get a complete set of matching hardbacks, purely for posterity, but it is very clear now after 8+ years of trying that this is never going to be possible. The books have no value to me if they don't match, and all the subtle changes made to the designs (including Joe's completely redesigned self-published versions) mean I'm no longer interested in trying to get a complete set.

Hi Matt Yeah I know the feeling although I do have the complete 1-22 set of the Mongoose/Mantikore editions and the rest will be from Holmguard Press(Although I have to admit I will buy the full 1-32 set from Holmguard if they are all released

So if anyone is interested, this is what my signed collector's editions sold for on eBay. I was absolutely delighted!
Book 20 and 17 went for silly money and to be honest at first I thought I was being scammed, but they were legitimate sales.
Book 20 went to a bidder in the USA, and it had received no bids until right near the very end of the auction, when it suddenly got into a bidding war between two people and the price went from £14.99 to £205 in a matter of seconds! I can only imagine that these later collector's editions have never been easily available to people in USA, and the buyer REALLY wanted it!
Book 17 also had a late bidding war and went to a keen collector in Singapore; he asked me to package it very well so that it wouldn't get damaged.
I doubt these sales are representative, but it goes to show that you can't predict what people are prepared to pay. These figures may give you some idea of what you could expect to make if you were thinking of selling any of your collection. (Note that all mine were signed by Joe with his library seal, and had a personal dedication in them -- except book 17)
LW1: £36 LW2: £26.25 LW3: £33 LW4: £37.50 LW6: £9.99 * LW7: £9.99 * LW8: £12.50 LW9: £20.20 LW10: £22 LW11: £20 LW12: £16.51 -- even though it was slightly damaged! LW13: £16 LW17: £128 LW18: £13.49 LW19: £12.99 * LW20: £205 LW21: £12.99 * LW22: £16.00
* These books sold for the price I listed them at, ie, just one bid. I sold 6 and 7 with free postage, as I knew these were less likely to sell.

Wow, impressive. I'm curious how the new reprints will affect these values. Possibly increasing but possibly decreasing. Not planning on selling mine but it's interesting to see.

Your proceeds will go a long way to getting the set of Holmgard prints!

205 for book 20? I see that book all the time for like 20 something usually. Got lucky, I'm personally still looking for 14 and 15...

Yeah I hear you man. All I need is 15 and Stornlands. I'm a bit of a completist as well so it really annoys me!

In the last four years I've seen it up once on eBay about three years ago for $350 dollars. At the time I thought it was completely insane but I watched it. A day later it was bought out....
Other than that, the last time it was available was when it was initially put out years ago.
