Maybe this is to early as only a little over a month has passed since our “grand master” went to Ishir and the God Kai. But, any thoughts on if the rest of the books will be published? Is it too early to think about? Does anyone care? Not sure if his son is a writer or if someone else will write them or if they will just be ultimately shelved. Holmgard Press was his own personal publishing company if I’m not mistaken…. I see Lone Wolf going two ways, either grow in popularity and more works about the Lone Wolf universe being created thus, fleshing out the world we have grown to love. Or, this is the last “Hoo Rah” and with the passing of Joe Dever thus goes the passing of Lone Wolf… Thoughs/comments?

Well, I think Joe Dever more or less finished 30 to 32, while not totally finished needing balance testing and proof reading is my guess. So those will likely come out. I also assume that cubicle 7 will produce as per the license for the role playing game.
The reprints of the books 23 to 28 are more in danger of not happening then. I think the announcement in conjunction with his death said to wait for a while, so I'd not expect any notice until february at the earliest.

Guys, I'd like to be reassuring even if I cannot give much information today. I can already say for being in touch with him that Joe's son, Ben, is totally dedicated to the continuation of the Lone Wolf saga and franchise (gamebooks, rpg...). Official announcements regarding the future of Lone Wolf will be done after Joe's Memorial in London (Monday, January 23rd, 2017 at 2:15pm. If you would like to attend please email his family at joe.dever.memorial@gmail.com) so please be patient. There will be positive news. And as far as I know for having discussed with each of them, all the guys involved in the production of new LW material (including August Hahn for the RPG, bonus adventures and novels, Alberto dal Lago for the illustrations, Francesco Mattioli for the maps...) want to continue along with Ben. I will too. More news soon.

Thanks for the update, Vincent. It is great to hear that more books will be published/written. It is 100% understandable that there may be a delay due to the family needing an appropriate mourning period. I am happy that they are committed to keeping the flame going and bringing the series finale to fruition. No doubt they know better than anyone how important the series was to Joe and how happy he must have been to finally have the opportunity to bring it to a proper conclusion with the publishing of the final four books.

zorkraan: August Hahn still wants to be involved with LW... so does it mean we'll get the other novels of the Agarashi series?

I would absolutely love to get the last two books of the Agarashi series out to you all, if only because they set into motion plotlines for all the rest of my stories to come (including some fun upcoming tales (tails?) involving the Noodnics from the fine folks who bring you Ensamma Vargen)!
But yes, first comes Joe's much deserved, much needed Memorial, as well as healing time for Ben and the family.

Would anybody by chance know if anyone is still monitoring Holmgard press and new orders? I was waiting to order Books 23 and 29 together to save on shipping (I live in the US), but after Joe passed I thought I could at least honor him by trying to get Book 29. I ordered on 12/7 and my payment went through, but the book hasn't arrived. I've since emailed Holmgard Press, but received no response. Any info would be much appreciated.

My guess is that Holmgard press will be used for distribution so keeping eyes on the page will probably be needed in future. If not then, some other means will be made available for ordering in future. But due to Joe's death I would not expect any orders to be handled or new items to appear until after the memorial.

Book 29 has been released back in May and Joe died only at the end of November. During the last months of his life, he took care to sign all the copies of book 29 that were ordered.
Now, for those waiting for a word from Holmgard Press, just be patient: Joe's son, Ben, will take over the publication of the series, including the last three books. But I don't think he will do anything before Joe's memorial service, which will take place next Monday. Wait maybe for 2-3 weeks after that to start looking for an update from Holmgard Press.

Good news on the Holmgard Press front. I received an email yesterday from Ben Dever:
Hi James,
My apologies for the delay. My father has passed the management of his estate on to me. He ran every facet of his publishing business single-handedly, and it has taken a fair amount of detective work to unravel the web of responsibilities, which apparently included distribution.
So again, I apologise that your order has faced a delay. However, I am now in a position to post your book to you. I plan to send it to you within the next few days.
Thank you for your patience.
Sincerely, Ben Dever
Will post when I receive my book. Hopefully others that are waiting will also get good news soon, if not already.

Hello. This is my first post on this forum and I am unsure if this would be the correct thread so please forgive me if it is not. I am a long time Lone Wolf fan and did have the Megadeal through Mongoose press and then I understood that it transferred to Mantikore-Verlag through which I received a few more books through 22 The Buccaneers of Shadaki, but now in reading through this forum, it appears that more books were published (apparently through book 29 The Storms of Chai). Who published books 23 through 29 and is there any way to still purchase them? Will book 29 be the final book printed? Thanks for any assistance you can offer!

Thanks for any assistance you can offer! - 29 was published by Joe Dever personally via Holmgard Press - 23 has not been republished. This was planned to have happened last November before Joe sadly passed away I suspect from silverseraph's post above that if you were to order 29 from www.mapmagnamund.com/id72.html it would now come to you, but obviously this is not guaranteed as Ben may only be finishing up the orders that were outstanding right now. I assume Joe's email address (superiorofficers@gmail.com) would reach him if you want to ask. 24-28 have never been republished, and Joe had been working on 29-32 since the mongoose days - Ben indicated that they are in an advanced enough state where they can be finished without much of a problem. I would imagine those books will all come out eventually once Ben has a handle on everything.

See? Told you guys to be patient! I know that Ben is now looking to update his father's website, so we might be able to order the next books once this is done.
