Woa, haven't checked SS status in months, this new version is a nice surprise. Will edit this post with any issues I come across.
I should probably mention that Windows 10 bitched on installation about protected folders. I whitelisted the program in Defender before starting it the first time.
Also, it doesn't start at all unless I right-click and Run As Admin. Only the first time apparently.
Book 1 Section 88: "By his side is a Spear <Spear button> shield." Should be "By his side is a <Spear button> and shield."
Picking up that Spear puts it in the inventory as "Runed Spear +48496640 Damage" LOL. I'm playing BTB, so this isn't right at all. I have Weaponskill in Spear and I discarded the starter Axe to take it. Sure enough, I killed the Gourgaz with it in one hit. But now it seems to have lost its bonus property. Fought some Giaks on Section 260 and now it's telling me I'm unarmed even though I have that spear still equipped. e: Now I recall that the button to pick it up was blue, so it's probably a HC+ weapon mistakenly put in BtB.
Book 1 Section 178: The 1 EP restoration from Healing is not applied in this section. It's one that you can only get to from having Sixth Sense, if that helps any.
Book 2 Section 103: Slight formatting hiccup on the footnote text - there's a carriage return/line feed after "immediately or" when instead it should be after "abandon it.".
Book 2 Sections 78 & 141: Given the situation described and the subsequent loss of your backpack items in section 337, it seems possibly inappropriate that you can use a healing item to immediately cure the damage sustained in those two sections. It feels like cheating a bit. Your call, though.
Book 2: Not sure if bug, but I thought I did the low-combat path and didn't get the award. My only fights were harbour thugs (which I evaded), tavern assassin, and zombie captain. Is it because I killed Halvorc instead of Parsion? If so, that's way too pedantic I think. At the very least you need to have hints for stuff like this.
Book 2: In the battle log, you can mouse over Halvorc to get a picture, but the black/white values are inverted (looks freaky!).
Book 5 Section 137: I'm allowed to hunt for a meal when doing so anywhere in this book probably isn't appropriate due to Hunting's restriction on deserts. I realize this section is in a lush garden-like area in the Palace, but I imagine they keep possibly edible pests like squirrels and birds out of it.
Book 6: According to the wording of the Villian of Amory award hints, I was given it erroneously - I skewered her head with an arrow. It says I'm not to use a bow, only manual combat. e: Went through the vanilla awards feedback thread and apparently that was an issue back then, too. I even reported it myself, I had just forgotten.
Book 7 Section 199: "skull" is in italics when it shouldn't be.
Book 8 Section 269: Losing the riddle requires you to delete a special item, but I was able to continue to the next section without doing so.
Book 11 Section 270: The psychic combat with the shadow reavers did not deduct 2 EP per round for using Psi-Surge.
Books 13-24: I've noticed that all the hints for the GM and NO awards are unlocked by default. The GM ones should probably be changed to have the same unlocking rules as Kai/MK since that series is finished. Not sure how best to handle NO stuff as the series is in progress.
Apparently both vanilla and S are sharing some kind of file-reading functionality. You can't have both installed at the same time and use each normally - each will screw up other's profiles, settings, and book data, to an unusable degree. I imagined S only read from users/appdata/roaming, but it'll completely [nuts] itself if a proper install in documents/seventh sense is also present. Vice versa for vanilla SS. e: I don't know how it happened but I had a "data" folder and settings.txt in C:/users/<my profile>. The problem might have been caused by that, but I'm not sure because I don't have vanilla SS installed, and I'm not going to right now for fear of it screwing with my profiles again.
I've noticed that Healing disciplines restore the 1 EP on insta-death sections. I don't think it matters that much, but I found it amusing.
