I am new to the Project AON forum, but I want to add my help for the glory of the Kai!
I am a huge fan of Lone Wolf and, on the spur of the moment after reading LW 29 and LW30, I prepared a visual walkthrough.
I play the books again and again, I hunt for items, so I don't want to miss any section.
My intent is to share this work with everybody, I hope you enjoy it.
My biggest concerns are
1) ownership rights: LW29 and LW30 are not part of Project AON license so I really hope to not wrong anybody. I will remove it if this is the case.

2) huge spoiler ahead: story and content are completely explored.
I will start with LW29 visual walkthrough (battle map), see PDF attachment below.

EDIT (16-12-2018): I also wanted to add a normal written walkthrough, because I don't see any available for LW29 and LW30.
So let's start with book 29 - The Storms of Chai:
NOTE: I have the italian version, maybe my translation will be different from English version, please correct me :-)
CHALLENGE: The book is nicely tuned for those who play hard, it is draining constantly on your Endurance Points (EP).
The reason is because of the Eye of Agarash, a Special Object that is a Quest Item, so you need to have room for this.
ITEMS: The most important item you can carry with you to the next adventure is the Defense Stone, a Special Object that decrease combat skill of undead enemies by 3: -3CS VS UNDEAD.
Also there is the Chai Imperial Armory at (344) section, which provides superior quality weapons (+1CS or +2CS).
At this armory you can take a special Chai Imperial Quiver, which can contain up to 12 arrows (take it).
Also there is a Chai Imperial Bow, declared +1CS in the book (take it). I consider this means +1roll on the Table of Destiny when you use the bow, which is nice bonus.
You will also be able to take Anseng's Kirusami (+1CS, 2x or 3x damage VS undead), but it will be lost later in the adventure.
Anyway you will be forced to lose one weapon (your first in the list) later in the adventure. My suggestion is to conserve the Chai Imperial Bow with +1roll.
Suggested Kai-Weapon: Valiance (+3CS bonus VS magic foe).
Useful items from previous adventures:
Talisman of Defiance (+2CS) --> from LW22
Korlinium Chainmail (+2CS) --> from LW26
Andarin's Warhammer (+5CS) --> from LW26
Sunderer (+5CS) --> from LW26
Ang'sei (+2CS) --> from LW28 (actually it reduces enemies CS by 2...)
Drodarin Bag of Holding (+5 backpack items slots, however it occupies 1 slot) --> from LW26
KAI GM DISCIPLINES:
On my edition you can start with 5 Grand Master (GM) Disciplines, so the suggested setup is:
01) LW21 - Grand Weaponmastery (Sword, Bow, Axe, Broadsword, Dagger, Warhammer, Quarterstaff, Spear, Mace)
02) LW21 - Deliverance
03) LW21 - Kai-Surge
04) LW21 - Herbmastery
05) LW21 - Grand Huntmastery
06) LW22 - Kai-Alchemy
07) LW23 - Grand Pathsmanship
08) LW24 - Grand Nexus
09) LW25 - Kai-Screen
10) LW26 - Assimilance
11) LW27 - Animal Mastery
12) LW28 - Elementalism
13) LW29 - Magi-Magic
The most important GM discipline for this adventure is Kai-Screen, because it will save you a lot of EP.
Deliverance also is useful, because you will have few sections where you can recovery some EP.
Kai-Surge is very useful for one specific fight and Magi-Magic also is often called.
Assuming you are Grand Thane (13 skills), you will have an impressive roster of ability and very high CS/END stats.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:
This story has the most linear path in all the LW books, you can't miss the major lore things.
You can decide to fight some enemies for Kenga Ring at Uzam (135), which can save you some EP later in the adventure. Up to you if you want this.
At the beginning, you will lose 1st, 3rd and 5th backpack item, be sure to arrange your backpack accordingly.
You will lose the first weapon in your list. Be sure it is not the Chai Imperial Bow!
You will need 1x Sabito Root and 1x Tazheng Potion as back-up in the adventure: you will get these very soon in the book.
You can start the adventure with 25 gold crown. You don't need more at the beginning.
In the end of the adventure it is important to keep at least 30GC for our next adventure in LW30 book. We have lots of things to buy there... :-)
THE STORY:
You start at:
--- H'LAU ---
(1) We arrive with Rimoah's SkyShip, the Comet. You will get used to the theme of the LW29 book: storms, continuous storms!
If you have Elementalism + Grand Guardian rank, it will save you 2END.
If you have Kai-Alchemy + Sun Thane, it will save you 2END and 1 backpack item.
You will lose 1st, 3rd and 5th backpack item, be sure to have arranged your backpack accordingly.
(326) You will lose the Locationing-Gem immediately. Having Grand Huntmastery + Grand Sentinel will make Anseng smile at you. Just move on...
(148) We are at ZANG village. Stay in the tavern to eat with Anseng, to get the Queen of Samor (special item, traded later with the Defense Stone).
(291) Time to bet all the 25 Gold Crowns. The solution is (41).
(41) Congrats you have just doubled the GC and you are at max level permitted. Continue with Shou's second riddle.
(110) Bet 10 GC and get the Queen of Samor!
(229) The answer is "the same quantity"!
(15) Congrats on getting the Queen of Samor (special item). This will be traded later with the Defense Stone.
(347) First unavoidable Fight: Wild Guanza Herd (CS=42/END=38). This should be no issue for you.
(318) Whatever you choose (having Animal mastery will save you 1END) you will reach the fight with the Chagarashi.
(195) Second unavoidable Fight: Chagarashi (CS=44/END=40). This should be no issue for you.
(237) Having Animal Mastery will save you one fight, otherwise you will face another Enormous Chagarashi (CS=42/END=37).
Also having Kai-Screen + Grand Thane will restore all your END loss, however at this point you should be near to max.
(102) If you have Kai-Surge + Sun Thane it will save you 2 END loss and ulterior END loss during the fight with Spectral Entity (CS=45/END=34).
Without Kai-Surge you will lose more END, but the results are the same.
--- VABOU ---
(330) We will arrive at VABOU city. Go into the tavern. Order one meal. Pay 3 GC to see a nice picture.
(200) You can buy:
- Potion of Laumspur (+4END) for 5 GC --> BUY THIS
- Tazheng (anti-venom, back-up for later) for 6GC --> BUY THIS
- Sabito (water breathing, back-up for later) for 8 GC --> SKIP
- Karmo (unuseful, but it can be traded later for 20GC) for 12 GC. --> SKIP
You should have 36 GC now.
(144) Having Grand Pathsmanship + Sun Thane will increase your score with the baby, but you won't hit her anyway. Don't mistake this book with another...
(179) Of course we trade the Queen of Samor with the Defense Stone (-3CS to UNDEAD enemies).
Otherwise you could just buy it with 20 gold crown at (225).
(209) We are at UZAM village. Go to the emporyum, where you can buy Arrows and one Potion of Laumspur (+4END) for 4 GC. --> Keep the GC and SKIP.
(120) Having Magi-magic will save you 3END.
(176) You can take for free one of Sabito, Tazheng, Laumspur.
Take the Sabito for free.
(152) Whatever you choose, you should aim to skip the fight at (262) with Ghoul of Nagah (CS=44/END=44), simply because it is skippable.
Go upstairs on the first floor, to learn more about the rumor. Having Deliverance does not matter here. Just turn away and leave the forest.
--- PENSEI ---
(58) Having Assimilance will save you a backpack item. Go to Maoshen Road to the North.
(126) Enter the library at (95), where you can sell unuseful backpack items (do you really have any?) each for 2GC.
You don't need the Durenor Diplomatic Pass, which you can get at (251) then (36), instead of (126) path. You will miss the library at (95) if you go for the Durenor Diplomatic Pass.
(106) Happy Lore moment: take one moment to see the painting where you kill Autarch Sejanoz (events of LW28 book) and the young Kahn Lao Tin, emperor of Chai (picture).
You should have Kai-Screen ready because you get now the Eye of Agarash (special item): this will be the real enemy of the book, constantly draining your EP. More persistent even than the heavy rain.
(113) Go with Tenent Quang to the Chai Imperial Armory.
(344) Chai Imperial Armory:
- Chai Imperial Bow (+1CS) (I believe that this means +1roll when using the bow, a nice bonus)
- Arrows (replenish)
- Chai Imperial Quiver (contains up to 12 arrows!)
- Chai Imperial Dagger (+1CS)
- Chai Imperial Short-Sword (+1CS)
- Chai Imperial Broadsword (+1CS)
- Chai Imperial Axe (+2CS)
- Chai Imperial Mace (+2CS)
- Chai Imperial Warhammer (+2CS)
You should upgrade your bow and quiver with the Chai Imperial Bow and the Chai Imperial Quiver.
Whatever second weapon you take, it will be lost later in the adventure.
You will lose your first weapon in the list, please arrange it accordingly.
However for the keep of taking everything we miss one mace to our arsenal of weapons, so I recommend the Chai Imperial Mace (+2CS).
We will use the Kai-Weapon (or Andarin's Warhammer or the Sunderer) for most fights anyway.
(135) Before we leave, you can restore all your ENDURANCE POINTS. This is the last time. Later on we will have only minor recoveries.
--- UZAM ---
If you move on without stopping, you can skip two fights with 5x Ghouls of Nagah (CS=45/END=60) and loss of +6 END overall.
But you will miss the Kenga's Ring (special item): if roll of 6-9 (40% chance) = saves you 1 END when Eye of Agarash activates.
(54) I recommend getting Kenga's Ring.
Fight with Ghoul of Nagah (CS=38/END=38)
(72) Get Kenga's Ring (special item): if roll of 6-9 (40% chance) = saves you 1 END when Eye of Agarash activates.
(293) Best choice is using Grand Nexus + Grand Thane (Kai Word of Power) and fight 5x Ghouls of Nagah (CS=45/END=57).
--- NORTH OF VABOU ---
(227) Go west, to take cover on the hills at border with Chai plain.
This will save you two fights with 1x Chagarashi Explorer (CS=38/END=38) and 1x Skarad Leader (CS=42/END=40) where you have nothing to gain.
(220) Elude the fight with 2x Furious Skarad (CS=45/END=45), skippable.
Retire from the hill and run back to the horses.
--- VABOU ---
(203) Get ready for this assedium. Go to the western Watchtower to help the militia. Use the bow for minor CS benefit.
Fight Skarad (CS=41/END=42), unavoidable.
(153) Oh Anseng! Finally one undead where I can use my new Defense Stone :-)
Avoid using bow or Magi-Magic, it will save you END loss.
(150) Fight Undead Anseng (CS=48/END=50).
(335) You just have won ANSENG'S KIRUSAMI (+1CS, DOUBLE DAMAGE VS UNDEAD BUT AT -3END COST)
I do not recommend to take it. It is a special item but it occupies one weapon slot.
Later on the adventure you will be forced to lose one weapon, so it is the Chai Imperial Bow or the Kirusami.
More later on you will lose the Kirusami anyway. It's better to save the Chai Imperial Bow for next adventure.
--- WEST OF VABOU ---
(349) Go South-east, towards Tviloi Forest.
With Animal Mastery or with the bow, you can avoid one fight with Doomwolf (CS=30/END=26), one turn only, and loss of 2nd and 3rd backpack item.
(264) Having Elementalism, Kai-Alchemy + Sun Knight or Assimilance will avoid one fight with Doomwolf (CS=32/END=30).
Straight path to JUENG village.
--- JUENG ---
(64) Go to the tavern to get +1 meal.
(103) Best option is to use the bow, before a unavoidable fight with 2x Chagarashi Sentinels (CS=40/END=40) in best case scenario.
(65) Straight path to VALUS city.
--- VALUS ---
(143) Go to Xo-Lin Road at South-East, to buy potions.
(43) At the pharmacy you can buy:
- Potion of Laumspur (+4 END), for 4 GC. --> SKIP
- Potion of Alether (+2CS), for 5 GC. --> BUY THIS
- Potion of Malavan (+2CS), for 6 GC. --> BUY THIS
- Sabito (water breathing) for 10 GC. --> SKIP
You should already have the Sabito.
You should have exactly 25 GC now. Guess why?
Enter the Tavern, we love the bets where we can double our remaining Gold Crowns! :-)
(114) The answer is the "Gold Box"! Double your GC!
(261) If you have Elementalism + Grand Guardian, you will save 2 END.
(334) You should have Kai-Alchemy + Sun Thane, or the Sabito Root as back-up (with loss of 2 backpack items), otherwise you can lose up -12 END.
(101) Unavoidable fight with Tkukoma Estuary (CS=34/END=50). This enemy is immune to everything. Does not apply here: Kai-weapon bonus, weapons and psychic bonus.
Your highest CS should be: 25 (base) +9 (natural roll) +8 (GM disciplines) +2 (Talisman of Defiance) +2 (Korlinium Chainmail) +2 (Ang'sei) +2 (Potion of Alether) -2 (section malus)= 48 CS, more than enough.
You lose the first weapon in your list. Be sure it is not the Chai Imperial Bow!
(294) If you have Grand Huntmastery, you can take 1x Alether Berries (+2CS).
(27) Go straight to Dwala through the prairie and rushes behind the estruary border.
(336) You can buy 3x Potion of Laumspur for 6GC each. --> BUY ONLY 2 OF THEM
(345) Pay 1 GC. If you have Assimilance you will pass without loss of 1 backpack item.
--- DWALA ---
(190) We arrived at final city. What can we buy now for our final preparations? More potions of course!
Go to Pau Ping's Potions Shop.
(105) At this potions shop you can buy:
- Oxydine (+2 END), for 4GC --> SKIP
- Potion of Laumspur (+4END), for 5GC --> SKIP
- Potion of Alether (+2CS), for 6GC --> BUY THIS
- Potion of Malavan (+2CS), for 6GC --> BUY THIS
Also here you can sell Karmo for 20 GC.
You should have now exactly 25 Gold Crowns.
Go to Dauzhi Street, on the left.
(266) What can you find at Chai Taverns? Riddles and bets! Go to the Tavern of the Tkukoma.
(280) Time to bet: the answer is (12). You have doubled your 25 Gold Crowns! :-)
(59) More potions? Sure! Enter the fisherman shop.
(258) At this fisherman shop you can buy:
- 2x Potions of Laumspur (+4 END) for 4GC each --> BUY THEM
- 1x Potion of Alether (+2CS) for 5 GC --> BUY THIS
This is our last purchase. You should have 37 GC left.
It is important to keep at least 30GC for our next adventure in LW30 book. We have lots of things to buy there... :-)
(240) A nice picture of the Priestess of Ishir.
(309) Take the offer of help from Zautro, herbs never fail (+8END from the Herbalist or +5END from the Priestess).
(169) Nevermind the roll, the results are the same: from 0 to -10 END random loss, mitigated by Kai-Screen (save 2 END).
(20) Time for the final showdown. Hope you are ready...
(238) Magi-Magic or Kai-Alchemy save you some EP.
Whatever discipline you use now, it won't matter. You will face Klüz, leader of the Doomgah.
(140) If you have Anseng's Kirusami (if you followed this walkthrough, you won't), you will save some EP and you will enhance the Kirusami to triple the damage VS undead.
Anyway you have to fight Klüz (CS=45/END=42), unavoidable.
(228) Mooldor will shoot you with the bow. (ROLL OF DEATH)
If you have bad luck with roll (30% with Grand Huntmastery) you will need the Tazheng as back-up, otherwise YOU ARE DEAD!!!
If you have a bow you can shoot back and avoid one fight.
If you miss the fatal shot, you will have to fight Mooldor (CS=36/END=32).
(300) No pause, be ready to fight an old enemy again...
If you have Kai-Screen + Sun Thane, you can recover +3 END, otherwise you lose -4END.
(230) Fight Xaol the Necromancer (Undead) (CS=50/END=50), unavoidable.
...and stay dead, this time!
(160) If you had conserved Anseng's Kirusami, now it is destroyed.
Go to the ship. Check the cabin of the captain. Check the chest content (more potions).
(199) What is better than potions? Potions for free of course!
From the Captain's Chest you can take:
- 2x Potions of Laumwort (+2 END) --> USE THEM NOW.
- 3x Potions of Laumspur (+4 END) --> USE THEM NOW OR TAKE THEM.
- 1x Potion of Oxydine (+2END) --> USE IT NOW.
- 1x Potion of Alether (+2CS) --> TAKE IT.
- 1x Potion of Malavan (+2CS) --> TAKE IT.
(9) Final boss arrived, Zashnor the Nadziranim with the Claw of Naar (GG your work during LW27).
If you have Kai-Screen (you really should) stand up for the fight!
If you have Kai-Screen + Grand Thane you will recover +10END.
(145) ROLL OF DEATH:
Unavoidable: from -3 to -7 END loss.
If ROLL of 9: YOU ARE DEAD!!! (Grand Huntmastery will prevent this scenario).
(162) Zashnor will transform into a Dragon of Ice, a tradition for Nadziranims fights.
The use of GM skills (Grand Nexus, Kai-Alchemy, Magi-Magic) or using the bow will prevent -2END loss.
(100) Final Fight Zashnor (CS=54/END=52) unavoidable.
He is half-immune to Kai-Surge (only +4CS) and Kai-Blast (half damage taken).
The Eye of Agarash is active and will drain -1END each turn of this fight.
If you are still fighting after 6 turns, the Imperial Zlaan will join the fight for just the 7th turn (Zashnor CS=59/+5END gain).
(107) Chai is now safe from Zashnor threat. Rimoah arrives with the skyship Comet to recover you. The Claw of Naar will travel by ship with Lord Honos.
(350) Victory!!!
Lone wolf will praise you for your deeds and he will inform you about the other Kai Grand Masters missions.
Your next mission will be a very hot one. To save Grand Master Steel Hand from the abyss of Maakengorge.

You should have Kai-Screen ready because you get now the Eye of Agarash (special item): this will be the real enemy of the book, constantly draining your EP. More persistent even than the heavy rain.

However for the keep of taking everything we miss one mace to our arsenal of weapons, so I recommend the Chai Imperial Mace (+2CS).
We will use the Kai-Weapon (or Andarin's Warhammer or the Sunderer) for most fights anyway.
(135) Before we leave, you can restore all your ENDURANCE POINTS. This is the last time. Later on we will have only minor recoveries.

If you move on without stopping, you can skip two fights with 5x Ghouls of Nagah (CS=45/END=60) and loss of +6 END overall.
But you will miss the Kenga's Ring (special item): if roll of 6-9 (40% chance) = saves you 1 END when Eye of Agarash activates.

Retire from the hill and run back to the horses.

More later on you will lose the Kirusami anyway. It's better to save the Chai Imperial Bow for next adventure.

With Animal Mastery or with the bow, you can avoid one fight with Doomwolf (CS=30/END=26), one turn only, and loss of 2nd and 3rd backpack item.

The use of GM skills (Grand Nexus, Kai-Alchemy, Magi-Magic) or using the bow will prevent -2END loss.

He is half-immune to Kai-Surge (only +4CS) and Kai-Blast (half damage taken).
The Eye of Agarash is active and will drain -1END each turn of this fight.
