So with book 25 now up for order (and maybe 26 by end of the year?) it feels like the right time to start thinking about book 28: Does anyone know if this is planned to be just the original 300 sections (plus bonus adventure) - I remember at one point there was talk of "restoring" it to the usual 350 sections but that was years ago (like back when the original Mega-Deal was up). Haven't heard anything about this for years, but don't think anyone ever said it's not happening (but then it's been so long I'm no longer sure whether it was ever officially something that would happen, or just speculation at the time). Obviously this could delay book 31 & 32 as there is limited writing resource, but still would like to know if this is something we can expect. I am pretty sure that one that Ben and the team have said book 28 will have all 350 sections at last. I don't think any more writing is needed as Joe did write them all back in the day and had to excise 50 sections as per the publishers orders. Definitely looking forward to that one too, though my hope that it will improve the anticlimatic showdown is probably too much to ask.

I got my Trail of The Wolf yesterday.
The bonus adventure is 125 sections, so the book looks quite a bit slimmer than Rune War.

I'm really happy they had reprints for #24. I ordered it (it will come in the mail eventually I think, mail is coming slower to our area these days due to obvious reasons) along with #25. Good to know that I still have a complete set of CE's (thought I was going to miss out on #24).
Hopefully I'll be quicker on the trigger when #31 comes out.
Also, having all 32 books (without the bonus adventures...no offense, but I actually prefer the books W/o the bonus adventures myself) of the same style sounds rather tasty.
I do have the first 28 books (weren't they all published at one point by Red Fox...or was it Arrow...I know I had several different printings of the first one and two with different covers, but I also have a complete set where the Kai ones were blue backed, the Magnakai were yellow, the Grand Master were various artwork but with a red stripe and white letters as the title, and the New Order were green backed).

Very nice to have the rare paperbacks,22 to 28. They fetch serious amounts when they come up for sale. Whether they will retain their value with the Collector's editions coming out (and later the so called Definitive Editions) is anyone's guess. I have Red Fox paperbacks up to 21 and Collector's 23 and above. It would be nice to have the Collector's editions of 21 and 22, thereby the whole New Order set would match, but those two seem to be as rare as hen's teeth.

I just bought 13 to 28 all red fox, some scattered titles from 1 to 12, from someone at 266usd. Books 26 and 27 have severe foxing. But it is still worth to purchase it. sg.carousell.com/p/1006033338

Interesting that Magnamund.com now has a placeholder for LW26CE “coming soon”, but nothing for LW1DE, while Ben’s Facebook posts have all recently been about LW1, in which he said it was coming “this summer, hopefully”. Maybe both will be available simultaneously in the coming months? Would be great to save on shipping. Either way, exciting to see signs that the project is getting closer to completion!

If you read yesterday's post by Ben Devere, he also mentionned that book 31 was supposed to come out this summer but that little virus created by the Cener had pushed back the release for the end of the year. So there will also probably be a delay for the Definitive Edition of book 1. Also, summer has not started yet, so maybe it will come out in August or September. Since the Collector's Editions are supposed to be enhanced version of the original material, since Joe passed away, I wonder what work has been done on the recently released books (24 and 25). Are they just corrections based on what Project Aon did with the internet versions? Did Ben rewrite the text himself?

Most were identical, but 350 had a couple of small changes: Guildmaster Banedon hands control of the helm to his bo’sun Changed to: Guildmaster Banedon hands control of the helm to Javano, his pilot The nature of the quest and the dangers that await you will be revealed in the next exciting Lone Wolf New Order adventure entitled: "Entitled" was dropped in the new version: The nature of the quest and the dangers that await you will be revealed in the next exciting Lone Wolf New Order adventure:

Maybe Joe had time to modify all the books before his death after all. Now, I wonder where the 50 new sections for the upcoming Collector's Edition of book 28 will come from. Did Joe wrote them in the 90s before the publisher removed them? Did he wrote the sections when he knew the series was republished in the 2000s? Will it be Ben and Vincent Lazzari that will write them?

I always just assumed he submitted the standard 350 section manuscript to Red Fox and was then told to change it after the fact.

LW26 Collector’s Edition is available to order today over at Magnamund.com.
2021 is setting up to be a pretty epic year for Lone Wolf fans. We should get LW31, LW28 extended edition, and LW1 definitive edition all within a few months of each other!

Got my Fall of Blood mountain today. It miraculously survived the courier chucking it over the back gate and leaving it in the rain.

Ben stopped by Facebook last week to update the LW release schedule:
Fall 2020: LW30 (reprint) Holiday 2020: LW31!!! Spring 2021: LW1 Definitive Edition
Very exciting to hear that LW31 may be available this year! Hopefully Ben & co. don’t wait too long before finishing the Collector’s Edition series with books 27 and 28. It’s hard to believe that 2-3 years from now we might finally have a proper conclusion to the Lone Wolf saga.
