Vampirium available for preorder: magnamund.com/collections/books/products/vampiriumBonus story is Shadow Stalkers by Florent Haro, set at the time of Dusk of the Eternal Night. Cover art looks good, though as I often do, I find myself wishing for a bit more colour in Dal Lago's art. I looooove the new creepier mask though!

So per the newsletter, we're apparently getting a ton of Lone Wolf books starting in October with a definitive edition book every month Also it *looks* like they may not be using Dal Lago's Vincent Book covers, as Ben talks about "brand new cover art was painted" and obviously the one for VB was done quite a long time ago. Of course he may just mean "new to English reading viewers who aren't checking out every piece of LW content no matter the intended audience".

Maybe new art by Dal Lago? Very exciting news regardless, although Nerdgore has his work cut out to produce 1280 pieces of art assuming 40 in each book. Maybe a lot of the work is already done, but it does feel a tad over-ambitious. Will buy them all of course!

Yeah, if there is new cover art I'm sure it'll be him, I recall Ben said a while ago they wanted continuity of art & format throughout the series, so the idea was Dal Lago for all ext art and Nerdgore for all int art (and of course Mattioli's superb maps). 40 pieces of int art for everything would be a trip. He did start working on FFTD over a year ago, but you'd assume not too much was commissioned so far in advance of actual publication. I guess it might just be to kick off with FFTD, and then from FOTW onwards they may drop down to a more manageable number? Would be amazing if it was 40 though, there's always scenes I was disappointed never got illustrated...

Would be amazing if it was 40 though, there's always scenes I was disappointed never got illustrated... I think that the illustrations also include the secondary ones, those small drawings we see between some sections. Just for the original book 4 here on PA, there are 21 full-page illustrations and 29 secondary ones, for a total of 50 illustrations by Gary Chalk: linkEDIT: Ah well, I've found an old Facebook post that confirms that there will indeed be 40 full-page illustrations in book 1: link

What a time to be alive! :-D Amazing news! (And very cool to see the Newsletter relaunched to announce it! ) Sometimes i wonder... We gamebook collectors are about 40 years old by 2021, with the youngest being 36 year old (born in 1985). What make us still so eager at collecting these books?

I was born on The 29/10/1,983, which means that I recently turned 37 years, 9 months Ooops I just realized that I misread it. I thought it was with the oldest being 36 year old, but it actually says with the youngest being 36 year old. Sorry

Vampirium is now shipping, got my notification today. Yep, me too. Especially looking forward to the BA since it is set in the epic End-Game miniseries (Same time as Dusk I believe).

I don't know if there is an errata thread for the CE books but I just found out that the Equipement section in Vampirium is the same from book 26 (there's a reference to the map of Bor...).

I believe Ben commented on Facebook that LW28 Collector’s Edition would release somewhere in the middle of the definitive editions, so probably not until next summer at the earliest. He confirmed that there will be a collector’s edition distinct from the LW28 definitive edition due in 2023.
On a side note, I’m really looking forward to a steady rollout of the definitive editions in the coming years. Can’t wait to hear the details (and hopefully a subscription plan) in the coming month!
