I'm currently helping A Friend with A Lone Wolf +Fighting Fantasy Style RPG that's got a very heavy wrong side of the law theme and the main characters are Thieves who are based off of a mixture of Robin Hood, your potential Veteran Thief Aally in Book 9 and the main character of Fighting Fantasy's Midnight Rogue, here's my newly generated Solo Character. Your thoughts please
Stats wise his Combat Skill is 10 +2D10 or 10 +8 +4 or 22 and his Endurance is 22 +2D10 or 22 +8 3 or 33
Skills wise I get to give him 2D10 halved rounded up or 8
The 5 Thieving Skills are Spot Hidden at ability 2D10 or 16, Sneak at ability 2D10 or 12, Pick Pocket at ability 20, Secret Thief Signs at ability 2D10 or 6 and Pick Locks at ability 2D10 or 9
The 2 Bounty Hunter Skills are Disguise at ability 1D10+1 or 7 and Tracking at ability 1D10+1 or 4
The Veteran Skill is Animal Wisdom at ability 1D10 or 7
Belongings
1's he started with are as follows, As they are mostly the tools of his trade they don't count against his allowance and mostly he gets them for being A Thief and/or Skills
Weapons
1 Short-Sword -Standard rules
Backpack items
1 Rope and Grapple -makes climbing easier, 1 Disguise Kit -if given enough time can make disguises more convincing and/or more likely to fool most people, 1 bag of animal Medicines -same as Potion of Lamuspur but only works on animals and 1 Pair of Lock-Picks -if given enough time can make disguises more convincing and/or more likely to succeed at Picking Locks
5 other items I choose to start with that do count against my limit
Backpack items only
2 meals in Provisions Bag -standard rules, 1 set of foraging Gear -has the same effect in this setting as Grand Huntmastery in both Books 13 to 20 and 21 to 30, 1 Provisions Bag -can hold up to 6 meals and only count as 1 meal, but if you lose it you lose them all, 1 potion of Lamuspur -holds 1 dose that restores 4 E
Gold wise I start with 20 +the 2 best rolls on 4D10’s or +20 +9 +5 or 34
So what do you think?. Sadly nothing for a day or two at least as the maker and GM's off to A School Reunion
