During my 1st playthrough of Book 30 I was so busy enjoying it that I forgot to restore 1 E per paragraph for 11 out of 14 paragraphs. That together with bad rolls in fights and other things that can lower your E meant that I had 5 E left at paraph 101 VS The Tharrayn Jahka
I then remembered n round 1 to use Deliverance to raise my E to 25, but it says that The Tharrayn Jahka regains half that or 10 E, but it still had its initial E of 20, so as The Book's don't say bad guys can't exceed their initial E did I do the right thing in raising its E to 30?

Not sure, good Q. I just got to this character and going to combat him later. I've only got 19EP currently - so a bit nervous. Played through twice and died already, but i'm very impressed how many different branches there are in this book already!
I would say 'no' he can't go above his EP.

Good ideas thanks, but I decided that cos nowhere says A Foe can't exceed their initial E that they can, but that's the only time its happened and just did it cos it seemed like it is what I should do in that situation and in the end the fight was fun
May I also suggest that if possible you don't use Deliverance until after you kill him/it. Mainly cos you're almost guaranteed to need the full +20 E, which means he/it regains 10 E, which could keep him alive long enough to even if he doesn't kill you do enough damage to your Endurance to mean you don't have enough left to win the book without cheating?. Just a thought. Think about it

According to my interpretation, you did right in increasing end to 30. This enemy is not real, just an illusion. it is safe to assume that it can increase end more than initial limit. not the best strategy, but correct use of game rules. This is my opinion, only the author should confirm this statement.
