Can you import your Lone Wolf Saga stats into the new Grey Star Quest, or do you start all over with creating your character?

The Lone Wolf and Grey Star series are separate. You can't use anything between them.

<Sarcasm mode on>Just 11 months after the last release, and we already have a new book to play with<sarcasm mode off> So I have finally been able to convert book 3, Beyond the Nightmare Gate, and I have just pushed a new release to the Play Store, so in a few hours everybody should receive it and be able to play through the third book. Had a couple of issues with some sections, as an example you could reach Sections 208, 95 or 254 without having any of the required objects to proceed further, ending up getting stuck in those Sections. By having a look at the Paths throughout the books, I added some new choices, leaving out of section 208 directly to Section 121, and out of Sections 95 and 254 to both Sections 313 and 342.
I decided to have a look into some dyslexic friendly fonts and ended up adding a new style to the app based on the Open Dyslexic font. I found this font to be very readable even without dyslexia, and I hope any dyslexic user out there will greatly benefit from the improved readability, so I look forward to any feedback regarding this font choice. There is a high probability I will be adding this style to Lone Wolf Saga as well.
Since I was already working on the fonts and styles, I added a menu to the ActionBar that enables users to directly modify the Dimensions and Style without having to go back to the Options menu. At the moment this is an experimental solution, and not all the interface components could react in the correct way, especially on some custom Sections, so any feedback regarding this new feature would also be very welcome.
Obviously I had a look at all the Bug reports in my email and tried to solve them all (the one on page 170 of the first book, where the Ezeran acid wasn't correctly recognized and the relative choice wasn't enabled, was quite widespread).
Finally, if anyone wishes to send me donations outside of the Play Store, I added a direct link to my buymeacoffe page as well as direct copy link to both my Monero and Bitcoin wallet addresses
Hoping to be able to get book 4 published in shorter times
Have fun y'all GDV

And just a little update (to v 1.02.01), because I had to switch to the new version of Google Billing Library and because the new option to change font dimensions and style directly from the books was missing in the re-ordering portion of the menu

App is crashing near the beginning of book 3 at the arrival to the tower; attempt to climb up, the app returns to main menu. Also the key choices are greyed out when walking around the left side. Attempt to use the staff, crashes as well...
Great work on the first two books tho...

Hello everybody I've had the opportunity to complete book 4, War of the Wizards, and I have just published the new update, so Grey Star Quest now features all the four book completed and playable. I had a look at some crash reports and it seems to me that some crashes may have been related to playing with an old DB version, so I checked the system and since it probably wasn't correctly asking to update the Db when starting a new Book I corrected this functionality.
As always, I hope you will all have a great time playing this entire series, I have to say War of the Wizards features probably my preferred sequence so far of all the 24 books I have converted (which is Grey Star escaping the Demon Horde and leading it from the hills of Tilos to Lanzi)

Glad you've hit a milestone in this project! I'd be happy to give it a good playtest and full report (like I did for LWS) now that all the books are out, but I'm likely going to have to buy a new phone soon (carrier is shutting down my local CDMA network at the end of the year) so I'll hold off until I resolve that situation.

You should update the Google Play page. It still says: "This app will include the 4 books covering "The World of Lone Wolf" collection. Right now only the first book, "Grey Star the Wizard", is correctly playable; the other 3 books will follow shortly."

Hello, I was away from home for a week and used that time to try out GSQ on my phone (Samsung Galaxy A32 5G) during peroids of downtime. I completed a full run of all 4 books. Deathless, even, on the first attempt. I did cheat a little and used the PA flowcharts in some spots. Although I only cleared book 1 by the skin of my teeth (had 1 EP left!), which probably isn't really surprising to anyone. Anyway, my findings are below. Some of these will be similar to other bugs/anomolies I reported about LWS, which makes sense because the engine is similar. General Issues- Is there any reason why the page scrolling is so choppy? This is present on all screens: book setup, section, inventory, etc. I'd estimate it's about 10fps. I don't recall this being an issue with LWS when I made my previous report, but it could be a peculiarity with my current phone, since I've bought a new one since then. However, I did download and test LWS on this current phone, and the text scroll seems a bit choppy there, as well, but it's not as bad as GSQ.
- I should not be able to choose to substitute EP loss in place of WP losses. That should only be an option when the current WP total is insufficient for the cost/penalty in text, and Tarama Seed usage is not possible.
- There is no way to transfer items between the Herb Pouch and Backpack. This should be able to be done freely, at any time.
- Similar to LWS (see my report in that app's thread), the the "barely survived" flavor text after battle is greatly exaggerated. The EP loss theshold where it triggers is set far too low.
- It would be helpful if there is a way to view the combat results table during combat. Viewing the inventory would also be a plus.
- The immediate EP/item losses/gains upon entering a section are pretty jarring. Maybe those could be handled via buttons, similar to WP losses?
- (1:157, 151, 161; 2:126, 165, 131, 145, 186, 224; 4:312) The end-of-section options were explicit about possessing powers and/or items, and using them should not be a choice if the player has them. The sections listed were just my path through the series, however I recommend that all options need to be evaluated for context.
- No feedback from the app after clearing the series? You get an epilogue pop-up, but nothing else. No "congratulations, you win" or "thank you for playing" or anything like that. I believe I complained about this with LWS, as well.
Book-specific Issues- (2 & 3) There is no in-app explanation for the new WP scores at the start. I also didn't see a way to view the game rules and PA footnotes which clarify this process. My best guess is that the app took my original WP roll then added 20 plus an additional 10.
- (4) There were no WP/EP bonuses whatsoever from acquiring the Moonstone. I'm pretty sure this should have been whatever the player has at the end of book 3, plus 50 WP and 30 EP.
- (4:map) See this pic. The demon horde portal is near Lake Tilos but the red map path does not indicate as such. It goes to a location that is way too far north. Grey Star is supposed to enter the wooded mountain pass from the west, I believe.
- (4:Epilogue) There is some errored punctuation here. They show up as squares with an X in them: "...Grey Star[x]the champion of the Shianti cause[x]..."
Section-specific Issues- (1:160) No Laumspur was deducted. It was in the herb pouch and I don't believe it's possible to get here with backpack intact.
- (1:183) Only one Tarama Seed can be purchased when 3 are available. The correct amount of nobles were deducted, but you should be able to buy more than one.
- (2:249) The +1 EP restore did not trigger. It's possible that I missed the status pop-up when I entered the section.
- (2:12) There was no button to take the meals here so they could not be acquired.
- (2:165) Inconsistant ruling: unlike the previous Prophecy use in section 67 where a Tarama Seed could not be used, this time it could be. But this instance is the exact same spell with the exact same effect as before.
- (2:66) It doesn't seem logical to be able to use a Tarama seed here. I'm pretty sure they don't prevent the kind of drains or losses as described in the text.
- (2:218) The Black Rod was not removed from the inventory neither here nor the following section.
- (3:10) The option for Psychomancy was available despite not having that particular Magical Power.
- (3:312) The Vial of Ezeran Acid was not deducted from the inventory.
- (3:182, 278) These sections were handled a bit oddly: the footnote text is visible and the item acquirement button is visible and usable even though there's nothing to take in either section.
- (4:239) The Moonstone doesn't take up a space in the backpack if chosen to carry it that way?
- (4:49) The flower and root ingredients for the potion were not removed from the inventory.
- (4:29) The handling of attempting to take a 2nd backpack seemed strange: first it checks for space in the backpack when it should skip that and just check for having one already.
- (4:312) The text is clear about the Laumspur being stored in the backpack in this instance, but it went into the herb pouch instead.
Thanks again, GDV, for your efforts. It's great to finally have mostly feature-complete Grey Star software.
