Hi, I have just released a new update that adds the 9th book in the series, The Storms of Chai, as the book is now distributed under the Project Aon license. Moreover, save slots are now free for everyone. I have decided to do this because I feel like the app has reached the end of its lifecycle and this will make it more accessible for newcomers (even though strictly speaking it is against the core rules). Thank you for the support from people who bought the save slots in the past. If you would like to get a refund for your save slot purchase, please email me the transaction id and I will refund it. You can download the update from Google Play Store or via the link on the website. Keep in mind that it might take longer than normal for the update to appear because the Play Store servers might be overloaded. As usual, let me know if you encounter any problems, I will fix them ASAP. I have done playtests, but this book has a lot of new mechanics and rules, so there might be issues I have not uncovered yet. Enjoy the update and stay safe during these difficult times! t0pel

There is a message on the Play Store developer console to "...expect review times of 7 days or longer". I assumed that meant just the review process when uploading a new app, but it looks like this includes updates as well :-( So it might take a long time before the update gets through. Normally, this takes about 20 minutes, so I assumed it is automatic.

Testing book 29! So far I found: 1) Section 228: bad roll, then potion of tazheng was not correctly identified in the inventory as backup, so I was forced to die. 2) there is no way to trigger magi-magic spell power strike (+1cs and -1end loss each turn to the enemy) before or during combat 3) with chai imperial guard weapons it is not working grand weapon mastery ignite weapon (-1end loss each turn to the enemy). I will keep my kirusami from book 28. 4) nice feature to convert golds to Ren but I can't see the advantage... 5) can't equip Anseng's kirusami 6) section 51: wardstone is not working VS undead Xaol providing -3 cs to the enemy. It does not work also VS undead Anseng... 7) Section 24: grand nexus is not preventing -2 end loss 8) section 150: Kai-screen is not working against the eye of agarash thus leading to -4 end loss

Thanks for the report kurz81, I have just released an update 2.6.2 that fixes all of the reported issues. Regarding the feature to exchange Gold Crowns for Rens, it is an option at the start of the book, so I have included it as it is described in the book. But I have not found a single situation where Gold Crowns and Rens cannot be used interchangeably, so I agree that it is kind of pointless. t0pel

Sorry but I found also:
9) When solving the inn riddles the gold crown reward is tripled instead of doubled. 10) when you bet 10GC for the Queen of Samor, you should not miss the 10 golds if you win. 11) section 79: it removes 6th item in the backpack, instead of the 5th. 12) Grand Thane Magi-Magic spell "Power strike" does not provide -1END loss to the enemy each turn. Please note that this should stack with Sun Lord Grand Weaponmastery "Ignite Weapon" (same mechanic of -1END loss each turn). 13) I could not find the way to activate the power of Anseng's Kirusami. 14) section 42: Kai-Screen and Kenga's Ring are not preventing the - 4END loss due to the Eye of Agarash.

Thank you again. 9) I left this as a triple because of the weird wording in section 41: You have won an amount equal to double your wager. You may now restore the number of Gold Crowns you deducted from your Action Chart, and add twice that number to your total. I know it does not really make sense, but the wording seems to suggest you should get triple the amount, right? 10) Yes, I will fix that. 11) Will fix, it will fix section 123 as well. 12) I think this is working correctly, but it is getting very confusing to follow. The ignite bonus is applied the combat result itself, while the power strike bonus is applied afterwards and cannot be seen in the combat result line. I will modify it so that the combat result line is always just the result from the Combat Results Table and all other modifiers are applied separately. It is not perfect, I will make it so that you can see the real Endurance loss in brackets after the CRT number - same way as it is done with bonuses to random numbers in normal sections. Depending on how hard it is to do, I might release this later on. 13) I found the bug, it only activates when you change your weapon in the fight, not when you have the weapon already equipped. I will fix it. 14) Will fix.

I just checked my book in Italian translation. I agree that the wording of section 41 is leading to tripling the bet as reward. Also section 12 is similar. It is kinda inconsistent with previous books bets where you normally reward just the double. Well, more potions and drinks for everyone then! 😉

Thanks for posting it here, it is much easier to communicate on the forum than via review replies. I will fix section 55 in the next release. Section 174 is working correctly for me, Kenga's ring mitigation will apply automatically after you click on the button. It will let you know whether the ring worked or not.

Sorry about 174, maybe I saw that wrongly.
I've possibly another one. 120 - It says to pick a number, and add 3 if you possess Grand Huntmastery. When I chose the option, it shows 5(5). So I'm not sure if the bonus from GH applies.
One question - how does "Ignite Weapon" from improved Grand Weaponmastery work? Is it only triggerable when the text says so? Because I assumed that you can do it with any metal weapon, including Kai Weapon. But the option for "ignite weapon" cant' seem to be toggled at all
