I would like to share my walkthrough for Autumn Snow book 01: THE PIT OF DARKNESS.
(see below attached PDF file)
First of all, I know that this book is not available to buy at the moment.
I sincerely hope to not break any rules in posting this content.
My wish is to share this little diamond, make the people curious and convince some editors to let us buy the books :-)

So let's start with book Autumn Snow 01 - THE PIT OF DARKNESS:
CHALLENGE: This book is true loyalty to Kai Wisdom Section.
With careful planning and accurate choices of Disciplines you can complete the book without problems of fighting. That means that you could start with CS = 10 / END = 20 stats!
However I don't recommend it! You should start with maximum stats (19 CS and 29 END) because you will bring these stats in the next books as well!
There are many fights that can be avoided. Up to you!
There is a very narrow path to perfect gathering of items and if you are like me, you wanna catch 'em all!
If you are a collector, you will find the limit of 12 special items your top problem soon :-)
Another important factor, so far no Sommerswerd in sight, so it's nice to play a balanced game. You will find many cool items anyway.
ITEMS:
In this book AS01 you will be able to find:
The Shield (+2CS special item) as starting equipment.
The Padded Leather Waistcoat (+2 END special item) as starting equipment.
Kai Sleep Crystal (Special Item): necessary to acquire the Rune Sabre or to skip major fights.
Ishir’s Amulet of Blessing (Special Item): you can roll again, if you are unhappy with the results (once per adventure). You just got 1 extra life!!
The Psychic Diadem (+1CS when using Mindblast, that means +3CS total with Mindblast). You need to have Mindblast to get it.
The Helm (+2 END special item) at the Pirates camp.
The Rune Sabre (+2CS special item, sword type). You need to have a Kai Sleep Crystal.
The Magic Axe (+2CS special item, axe type). You need to have Healing.
A Superior Weapon with Sharpened Blade (it counts as weapon) -->> add 1 point to enemy ENDURANCE losses in every round of combat (just as long as the enemy suffers combat damage): it can be a sword, broadsword, short sword, dagger, spear or axe
Flask of Laumspur (+4 END 2/2 doses): that means +8 END in 1 backpack slot. You need to have Healing.
The Lantern, the Rope and The Compass are backpack items useful in the adventure.
Bring some meals with you!
In case you don't know... the bow is OP in all Lone Wolf books! It is kinda mandatory even in Autumn Snow books.
KAI DISCIPLINES:
The suggested setup is:
01) Weaponskill (with Swords or Axes)
02) Healing
03) Mindblast
04) Sixth Sense
05) Animal Kinship (*)
Boosting CS is your second top priority (the first is staying alive!!).
So Weaponskill and Mindblast are important.
Healing is the most important skill in the game. It is not as OP as it is in Lone Wolf books.
However it is mandatory to acquire the Magic Axe.
Sixth Sense is needed to gather items, lore purpose and of course staying alive!
Mindblast is need to get the Psychic Diadem.
(*) Animal Kinship will let you avoid one dangerous roll of death. The alternative is to risk or to lose some equipment. Also can serve as back-up later.
It can be argued that Mindshield or Hunting are better than Animal Kinship in the long run. This is simply my suggestion, as I wish to avoid death scenario as much as possible.
COMBAT SKILL CHECK: 19CS base +2CS shield +2CS Rune Sabre +2CS Weaponskill with Swords + 2CS Mindblast +1CS Psychic Diadem = 28CS, more than you really need!
(You will also acquire Alether +2CS)
STRATEGY - IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:
In this story your decisions matter! The plot is not linear as some New Order books: you should carefully plan your actions!
Many ROLLS OF DEATH can be avoided with careful planning.
Wrong choices will bring you more fights and dangerous rolls of death.
In the next book AS02 your backpack will be blasted, except one piece. I recommend to save the Flask of Laumspur. You can use all the rest in this adventure.
It will be important to find weapons and food very soon! However there will be plenty of opportunity!
There is no problem with Gold Crowns, you will acquire enough money in this adventure.
REALLY IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:
This book takes great consideration of the most important point: having fun during the adventure.
You will face many choices and many challenges. This is how the game should be. If you prefer a more linear narrative, you are in the wrong zone.
I wrote this walkthrough to give you all the options. Up to you to choose. You should read the book multiple times to enjoy all the sections.
You should really go to the Pirates Camp. The loot is big!
At the beginning of the book you MUST roll 5-9, otherwise you can't loot the Psychic Diadem (and you lose +1CS forever). If bad luck, use the Ishir's Amulet of Blessing or restart!
Don't kick the black cubes!
You should use the Kai Sleep Crystal to acquire the Rune Sabre, if you have Weaponskill with Swords.
At Misty Bay don't go to the inn, but visit all the shops (buy a Lantern and a Compass)!
Don't pick up Vordak Gems! Just avoid the Vordak!
Don't you have a bow already? Get one NOW!
STARTING GEAR:
You can take up to 4 items in the list. I recommend to take:
The Shield (Special Item - adds 2 points to your COMBAT SKILL when used in battle)
Padded Leather Waistcoat (Special Item - adds 2 points to your current and maximum ENDURANCE score)
Kai Sleep Crystal (Special Item) - It is filled with a soporific gas that will be released if you smash this glassy sphere.
Ishir’s Amulet of Blessing (Special Item) - It is a lucky charm that will allow you to pick another number from the Random Number Table should you obtain an unsatisfactory result. It may only be used once during your adventure.
You can also choose one weapon of your choice, except the one you are proficient with Weaponskill. So you should take the Bow and the Quiver with 6 arrows.
You start with 10 (+Roll 0-9) Gold Crowns.
THE STORY:
You start at Holmgard, then you board the Languabarb, the ship that will bring you to Kirlu Island.
--- ABOARD THE LANGUABARB, KIRLUNDIN STRAITS SEA ---
(1) The ship will be attacked by a Pirate crew. Time to join the action immediately!
And for a good start you face an unavoidable ROLL OF LUCK.
If you roll 5-9 (between 5 and 9) you got lucky: you can skip one ROLL OF DEATH scenario, skip some difficult fights and most of all you can follow the route to the PSYCHIC DIADEM (special item, additional +1CS when using Mindblast).
If you roll 0-4 I strongly recommend to use the Ishir's Amulet of Blessing or just restart (we are at the beginning anyway).
(63) Let's assume you got lucky.
(307) If you have healing you will save a crew sailor and it will benefit you in the next fight in case you miss the bow.
(82) Of course you have the bow! And arrows too!
(190) Use also the third arrow. (As a general rule, it is always worth to use the bow instead of fighting).
(275) Depending on luck with the bow, you can skip the fight with the PIRATE (CS = 10 / END = 21), but even if you miss and you are unarmed (-4 CS), you will only have to fight for 2 rounds, because the sailor that you saved with healing will come to your aid. Loot is: Scimitar (Short Sword weapon), Axe (weapon), Dagger (weapon), Potion of Laumwort (+2END) (backpack item), 14 Gold Crowns.
Now imporant step (to get the Psychic Diadem): stay on the Languabarb’s stern deck!
This way you avoid the fight with HORDE OF PIRATES (CS = 30 / END = 68) (however if you fight with your Master Silver Flame, you get +12 CS).
(223) With Sixth Sense you have a little advantage in combat.
(69) You will fight the PSYCHIC PIRATE (CS = 14 / END = 25). Without Mindshield you get -3CS penalty.
(202) LOOT: Short Sword (weapon), Potion of Laumspur (+4 END), 9 Gold Crowns
(60) You need Mindblast to get this LOOT: Psychic Diadem (Special item: Add +1CS when using Mindblast = total +3CS with Mindblast). Very nice!!
(281) Don't kick the black cubes! (Possible death scenario).
Simply jump off into the sea.
(247) With Animal Kinship you will avoid a ROLL OF DEATH and you will preserve all your equipment.
However you will lose half of your arrows (that means you are left with one only arrow) and half meals (0 according this walkthrough).
Use potions to restore health, you must have at least 8 END at this point.
--- SHORES OF KIRLU ---
(165) Let's assume you have at least 8 ENDURANCE points. Healing is allowed in this paragraph: restore 2 END. Restore +2 END also because of good sleep.
Scamper along the shoreline.
(266) Move closer to the motionless figure on the beach.
(35) LOOT: Iron Key (special item), Black Cube (backpack item), Potion of Laumspur (+4 END), 5 Gold Crowns.
Throw the Black Cube and cause a distraction to cover your escape.
(65) Even without Hunting, you will find food. Add 1 meal (backpack item).
(320) You really should risk and go to the Pirates Encampment. You get Alether Berries as starter (backpack item, +2 CS for 1 fight)
--- PIRATES ENCAMPMENT ---
(188) Enter the Pirate Camp.
(156) Bow and arrow (your last one) is auto-win. You can avoid the fight with PIRATE SENTINEL (CS = 14 / END = 24).
Loot: Broadsword (weapon), Dagger (weapon), Iron Key (special item), Potion of Laumspur (+4 END), 6 Gold Crowns.
(327) Now we have 3 targets for item hunting! We will try to clear them all. We do the safest one first, then we increase the risk in the second one and we leave the less important for last.
Approach the large central tent.
(132) You should use the Kai Sleep Crystal now to auto-win!
(330) Enter the tent.
(209) LOOT: Backpack, 2x Rich Meals (+2 END), Rune Sabre (Special item +2CS Magic Sword Type), Sword (weapon), Dagger (weapon), 32 Gold Crowns, Signet Ring (Special Item - lore purpose).
Now go investigate the shed.
(199) You need the Iron Key.
(290) LOOT - Weapons: Dagger, Mace, Short Sword, Warhammer, Sword, Axe, Broadsword, Bow.
Quiver with 6 Arrows (Special Item), Shield (Special Item +2 CS), Helm (Special Item +2 END).
Backpack, Backpack items: Rope, Lantern, 20x Meals, 10 Potions of Laumspur (+4 END), 5 Potions of Alether (+2 CS), 5 Potions of Adgana (+6 CS, -4END, but if you roll 0 1 the -4 END loss is PERMANENT!)
You should replenish the Quiver with 6 arrows, take the Helm (add +2 END to your total ENDURANCE), take also the Rope, the Lantern, 1 meal and all the potions you can.
Let's consider that you restored all your ENDURANCE to full health.
Now ROLL OF LUCK!
(70% chance): if you roll 0,1,2,4,5,7,8 = SAFE! You can go loot the crates for more money!
(30% chance): otherwise if you roll 3,6,9 = LOSE! You need to leave the camp and to fight another PIRATE (CS = 15 / END = 22).
(95) Let's assume you are SAFE! Go look the crates and pilfer some loot!
(216) LOOT: Belt Pouch full with 50 Gold Crowns! Backpack items: Silk Scarf, Jadin Statuette, Silver Chalice, Pot of Rare Spices, Bag of Jewels, Dagger (weapon).
The Bag of Jewels can be traded later with a superior weapon at Misty Bay. This is the only item you should take.
ROLL OF LUCK!
(50% chance): if you roll >= 5 --> SAFE! We can leave the camp without issues.
(50% chance): if you roll <=4 --> YOU HAVE BEEN SPOTTED! However with Animal Kinship you will avoid the fight with the ELIX (CS = 18/ END = 12) and the PIRATE (CS = 15 / END = 23).
(43) Leave the Pirates Encampment.
--- KIRLU FOREST ---
(173) Healing allowed: +2 END. With Tracking you can avoid the encounters with the RAVENOUS WOLF (CS = 16 / END = 18), TANGLESNARE (CS = 8 / END = 28) and the RED LADY SPIDER (scenario of potential temporary loss of 1 hand, due to poisonous bite). With Tracking you can also directly meet Bordan the woodsman and get some unuseful loot. But we don't have Tracking.
(274) Don't pick some apples. There is the RED LADY SPIDER to wait for you. (if you get bitten, you lose the hand holding the shield and you can't use the bow).
However Animal Kinship will prevent this scenario, so you can actually go for the bad apples and gather 2 meals !!
(89) Healing allowed: +2 END. Avoid the swamp to avoid END loss. You need the rope to avoid further losses.
(140) Avoid the steep escarpment.
(294) You need the Rope to skip this obstacle. Then continue your trekking.
(52) Healing allowed: +2 END. Go left, into the trees, to avoid the encounter with the KRAAN (CS = XX / END = 12): fixed ratio of -5 CS. Continue until enemy END is <= 12.
(55) Healing allowed: +2 END. Safe on your way to Misty Bay.
--- MISTY BAY ---
(100) Lore moments. if you have the Signet Ring, you will learn something more about Vassagonian Pirates and Kirlundin traitors.
(239) In case of need, the magistrate will provide you one backpack, 1 Broadsword and 10 Gold Crowns. If you followed this guide you should have plenty of money to spend now at Misty Bay shops.
(224) You can visit all the shops in whatever order. I reccomend this route.
(102) The Blacksmith: trade the Bag of Jewels with one Superior Specially sharpened edge weapon.
I take 1 Superior Sword with specially sharpened blade (-1 END additional loss to the enemy when you deal damage). You should have this superior weapon and the bow (with 6 arrows) as 2nd weapon.
You can also buy weapons, Shield and Helm, in case you missed the pirates camp.
(15) Similla's Apothecary: you can buy potions (up to 2 potions of each type): Larnuma Oil (+2 END) = 4 Gold Crowns, Potion of Laumspur (+4 END) = 6 Gold Crowns, Potion of Alether (+2 CS) = 5 Gold Crowns, Potion of Gallowbrush (soporific elixir) = 3 Gold Crowns, Kirlundin Richwater (allows drinker to go without Meals for a day with no penalty) = 2 Gold Crowns. Laumspur and Alether are always a solid choice for potions. The rest is not needed.
You can cure the RED LADY spider bite here, for 2 GC.
(53) General Store. You should have the Lantern already, otherwise buy it for 3GC (alternative Torch and Tinderbox). You also should buy the Compass for 2GC. Another Rope is not needed now.
(241) Open air Market. You can buy any meals you want for 1GC. You don't really need many meals and your backpack should be already full.
(161) Stay overnight at the town hall! You will avoid DEATH SCENARIO (Animal Kinship will prevent this scenario) and fighting with the ASSASSIN (CS = 19 / END = 23).
Also mandatory path, if you want the Magic Axe.
(125) Healing allowed: +2 END. The magistrate will be visited by a Drakkar assassin during the night.
(160) Go help the magistrate. You will need healing.
(92) Find out the content of the desk.
(288) LOOT: Flask of Laumspur (+4 END, 2/2 doses, backpack item). Magic Axe (+2 CS special item, axe type). Very nice!!
(99) Time to leave and go back to the forest.
--- KIRLU FOREST ---
(244) With Sixth Sense, the Compass and then Animal Kinship, we can skip the fight with GIAK PATROL (CS = 20 / END = 35).
(231) Choose a different path through the forest.
(182) Walk parallel to the old riverbed as you push on in a south-easterly direction. Then examine the remains.
(46) LOOT: Coil of Rope, 2 Swords, Axe, 3 Giak Spears, 2 Torches, Tinderbox. Take the Torch and the Tinderbox if you don't have the Lantern.
(137) You should avoid the encounter with the VORDAK ON KRAAN (CS = 18 / END = 27).
Nothing to gain and also you don't have Mindshield. Just retreat.
--- TEMPLE RUINS ---
(349) You should already used the Kai Sleep Crystal. In case you don't, keep it for the last fight.
(172) Use the bow (2 arrows), then fight the GIAKS (CS = 13 / END = 17).
(50) The Tahglo Fungi are unuseful. Don't bother.
(236) Now go RGHT!! If you go LEFT you will face a DEATH SCENARIO (avoidable with Lantern or Torch + Tinderbox) and fighting SKELETONS (CS = 10 / END = 30) and CRYPT SPAWNS (CS = 20 / END = 20).
(312) You can SKIP the PIT OF DARKNESS (CS = 20 / END = 20)!! Nothing to gain there, only possible DEATH SCENARIO (we also miss Mindshield!).
Ascend the staircase.
(303) Ambush the giak and loot the Giak's Keys (Special item).
(240) Use the Giak's Keys and LOOT - Weapons: Broadsword, Mace, Sword, Warhammer, Bow and Quiver (6 arrows), Axe, Spear, Dagger, Shield (+2 CS special item), Potion of Alether (+2CS).
Your equipment should already be "top class" at this moment.
(192) Walk around the bridge. We will avoid the DEATH SCENARIO.
(246) The PIT OF DARKNESS will strike at you, but we will manage with only -3 END loss.
(112) Leave the cave.
(272) Healing allowed: +2 END. We need to acquire a Red Stone Disc (special item) and so far we avoided meeting Drakkars.
(280) Use the bow (+1 arrow), there is 20% chance to auto-win. Sadly there is also 20% chance of DEATH!!! (it could have been prevented with Hunting or Weaponskill with bows).
Otherwise we have to fight WOUNDED DRAKKAR (CS = 16 / END = 16). He will drop the Red Stone Disc (special item) and 1 Broadsword.
(283) Move to the finale.
(200) Lore moment: Pirate king Kharam and Drakkar officer Darak Torg will explain that they are searching for the Book of Vashna, a black magic book, considered a treasure of lost secret knowledge for the Nadziranim.
(71) Healing allowed: +2 END. Prepare for last fight. If you still have the Kai Sleep Crystal, you should use it now and it's auto-win.
(123) Bow and 1 arrow. You have 20% chance to auto-win. In worst case you will fight DARAK TORG (CS = 25 / END = 36). You should use Alether now: he is last boss.
(54) LOOT: Scroll of the Pit (special item). This is a quest item that you should deliver to the Kai Monastery as proof of activity of Darklands Armies in Kirlu. Also it is an hint for future adventure in Maakenmire Swamp.
YOU WON, MISSION COMPLETE!
(350) VICTORY !!!
You exit from the ruins and you sabotage the enemy cove throwing some Black Crystal bombs.
You run into the forest again and your next mission will be to get back to the Kai Monastery for report.
You will advance to the rank of Aspirant, so in your next adventure you will add one more Kai discipline :-)
However fate decided that you will have more adventures before coming home to the Monastery.

Padded Leather Waistcoat (Special Item - adds 2 points to your current and maximum ENDURANCE score)
Kai Sleep Crystal (Special Item) - It is filled with a soporific gas that will be released if you smash this glassy sphere.
Ishir’s Amulet of Blessing (Special Item) - It is a lucky charm that will allow you to pick another number from the Random Number Table should you obtain an unsatisfactory result. It may only be used once during your adventure.
You can also choose one weapon of your choice, except the one you are proficient with Weaponskill. So you should take the Bow and the Quiver with 6 arrows.
You start with 10 (+Roll 0-9) Gold Crowns.
THE STORY:
You start at Holmgard, then you board the Languabarb, the ship that will bring you to Kirlu Island.
--- ABOARD THE LANGUABARB, KIRLUNDIN STRAITS SEA ---
(1) The ship will be attacked by a Pirate crew. Time to join the action immediately!
And for a good start you face an unavoidable ROLL OF LUCK.
If you roll 5-9 (between 5 and 9) you got lucky: you can skip one ROLL OF DEATH scenario, skip some difficult fights and most of all you can follow the route to the PSYCHIC DIADEM (special item, additional +1CS when using Mindblast).
If you roll 0-4 I strongly recommend to use the Ishir's Amulet of Blessing or just restart (we are at the beginning anyway).
(63) Let's assume you got lucky.
(307) If you have healing you will save a crew sailor and it will benefit you in the next fight in case you miss the bow.
(82) Of course you have the bow! And arrows too!
(190) Use also the third arrow. (As a general rule, it is always worth to use the bow instead of fighting).
(275) Depending on luck with the bow, you can skip the fight with the PIRATE (CS = 10 / END = 21), but even if you miss and you are unarmed (-4 CS), you will only have to fight for 2 rounds, because the sailor that you saved with healing will come to your aid. Loot is: Scimitar (Short Sword weapon), Axe (weapon), Dagger (weapon), Potion of Laumwort (+2END) (backpack item), 14 Gold Crowns.
Now imporant step (to get the Psychic Diadem): stay on the Languabarb’s stern deck!
This way you avoid the fight with HORDE OF PIRATES (CS = 30 / END = 68) (however if you fight with your Master Silver Flame, you get +12 CS).
(223) With Sixth Sense you have a little advantage in combat.
(69) You will fight the PSYCHIC PIRATE (CS = 14 / END = 25). Without Mindshield you get -3CS penalty.
(202) LOOT: Short Sword (weapon), Potion of Laumspur (+4 END), 9 Gold Crowns
(60) You need Mindblast to get this LOOT: Psychic Diadem (Special item: Add +1CS when using Mindblast = total +3CS with Mindblast). Very nice!!
(281) Don't kick the black cubes! (Possible death scenario).
Simply jump off into the sea.
(247) With Animal Kinship you will avoid a ROLL OF DEATH and you will preserve all your equipment.
However you will lose half of your arrows (that means you are left with one only arrow) and half meals (0 according this walkthrough).
Use potions to restore health, you must have at least 8 END at this point.
--- SHORES OF KIRLU ---
(165) Let's assume you have at least 8 ENDURANCE points. Healing is allowed in this paragraph: restore 2 END. Restore +2 END also because of good sleep.
Scamper along the shoreline.
(266) Move closer to the motionless figure on the beach.
(35) LOOT: Iron Key (special item), Black Cube (backpack item), Potion of Laumspur (+4 END), 5 Gold Crowns.
Throw the Black Cube and cause a distraction to cover your escape.
(65) Even without Hunting, you will find food. Add 1 meal (backpack item).
(320) You really should risk and go to the Pirates Encampment. You get Alether Berries as starter (backpack item, +2 CS for 1 fight)
--- PIRATES ENCAMPMENT ---
(188) Enter the Pirate Camp.
(156) Bow and arrow (your last one) is auto-win. You can avoid the fight with PIRATE SENTINEL (CS = 14 / END = 24).
Loot: Broadsword (weapon), Dagger (weapon), Iron Key (special item), Potion of Laumspur (+4 END), 6 Gold Crowns.
(327) Now we have 3 targets for item hunting! We will try to clear them all. We do the safest one first, then we increase the risk in the second one and we leave the less important for last.
Approach the large central tent.
(132) You should use the Kai Sleep Crystal now to auto-win!
(330) Enter the tent.
(209) LOOT: Backpack, 2x Rich Meals (+2 END), Rune Sabre (Special item +2CS Magic Sword Type), Sword (weapon), Dagger (weapon), 32 Gold Crowns, Signet Ring (Special Item - lore purpose).
Now go investigate the shed.
(199) You need the Iron Key.
(290) LOOT - Weapons: Dagger, Mace, Short Sword, Warhammer, Sword, Axe, Broadsword, Bow.
Quiver with 6 Arrows (Special Item), Shield (Special Item +2 CS), Helm (Special Item +2 END).
Backpack, Backpack items: Rope, Lantern, 20x Meals, 10 Potions of Laumspur (+4 END), 5 Potions of Alether (+2 CS), 5 Potions of Adgana (+6 CS, -4END, but if you roll 0 1 the -4 END loss is PERMANENT!)
You should replenish the Quiver with 6 arrows, take the Helm (add +2 END to your total ENDURANCE), take also the Rope, the Lantern, 1 meal and all the potions you can.
Let's consider that you restored all your ENDURANCE to full health.
Now ROLL OF LUCK!
(70% chance): if you roll 0,1,2,4,5,7,8 = SAFE! You can go loot the crates for more money!
(30% chance): otherwise if you roll 3,6,9 = LOSE! You need to leave the camp and to fight another PIRATE (CS = 15 / END = 22).
(95) Let's assume you are SAFE! Go look the crates and pilfer some loot!
(216) LOOT: Belt Pouch full with 50 Gold Crowns! Backpack items: Silk Scarf, Jadin Statuette, Silver Chalice, Pot of Rare Spices, Bag of Jewels, Dagger (weapon).
The Bag of Jewels can be traded later with a superior weapon at Misty Bay. This is the only item you should take.
ROLL OF LUCK!
(50% chance): if you roll >= 5 --> SAFE! We can leave the camp without issues.
(50% chance): if you roll <=4 --> YOU HAVE BEEN SPOTTED! However with Animal Kinship you will avoid the fight with the ELIX (CS = 18/ END = 12) and the PIRATE (CS = 15 / END = 23).
(43) Leave the Pirates Encampment.
--- KIRLU FOREST ---
(173) Healing allowed: +2 END. With Tracking you can avoid the encounters with the RAVENOUS WOLF (CS = 16 / END = 18), TANGLESNARE (CS = 8 / END = 28) and the RED LADY SPIDER (scenario of potential temporary loss of 1 hand, due to poisonous bite). With Tracking you can also directly meet Bordan the woodsman and get some unuseful loot. But we don't have Tracking.
(274) Don't pick some apples. There is the RED LADY SPIDER to wait for you. (if you get bitten, you lose the hand holding the shield and you can't use the bow).
However Animal Kinship will prevent this scenario, so you can actually go for the bad apples and gather 2 meals !!
(89) Healing allowed: +2 END. Avoid the swamp to avoid END loss. You need the rope to avoid further losses.
(140) Avoid the steep escarpment.
(294) You need the Rope to skip this obstacle. Then continue your trekking.
(52) Healing allowed: +2 END. Go left, into the trees, to avoid the encounter with the KRAAN (CS = XX / END = 12): fixed ratio of -5 CS. Continue until enemy END is <= 12.
(55) Healing allowed: +2 END. Safe on your way to Misty Bay.
--- MISTY BAY ---
(100) Lore moments. if you have the Signet Ring, you will learn something more about Vassagonian Pirates and Kirlundin traitors.
(239) In case of need, the magistrate will provide you one backpack, 1 Broadsword and 10 Gold Crowns. If you followed this guide you should have plenty of money to spend now at Misty Bay shops.
(224) You can visit all the shops in whatever order. I reccomend this route.
(102) The Blacksmith: trade the Bag of Jewels with one Superior Specially sharpened edge weapon.
I take 1 Superior Sword with specially sharpened blade (-1 END additional loss to the enemy when you deal damage). You should have this superior weapon and the bow (with 6 arrows) as 2nd weapon.
You can also buy weapons, Shield and Helm, in case you missed the pirates camp.
(15) Similla's Apothecary: you can buy potions (up to 2 potions of each type): Larnuma Oil (+2 END) = 4 Gold Crowns, Potion of Laumspur (+4 END) = 6 Gold Crowns, Potion of Alether (+2 CS) = 5 Gold Crowns, Potion of Gallowbrush (soporific elixir) = 3 Gold Crowns, Kirlundin Richwater (allows drinker to go without Meals for a day with no penalty) = 2 Gold Crowns. Laumspur and Alether are always a solid choice for potions. The rest is not needed.
You can cure the RED LADY spider bite here, for 2 GC.
(53) General Store. You should have the Lantern already, otherwise buy it for 3GC (alternative Torch and Tinderbox). You also should buy the Compass for 2GC. Another Rope is not needed now.
(241) Open air Market. You can buy any meals you want for 1GC. You don't really need many meals and your backpack should be already full.
(161) Stay overnight at the town hall! You will avoid DEATH SCENARIO (Animal Kinship will prevent this scenario) and fighting with the ASSASSIN (CS = 19 / END = 23).
Also mandatory path, if you want the Magic Axe.
(125) Healing allowed: +2 END. The magistrate will be visited by a Drakkar assassin during the night.
(160) Go help the magistrate. You will need healing.
(92) Find out the content of the desk.
(288) LOOT: Flask of Laumspur (+4 END, 2/2 doses, backpack item). Magic Axe (+2 CS special item, axe type). Very nice!!
(99) Time to leave and go back to the forest.
--- KIRLU FOREST ---
(244) With Sixth Sense, the Compass and then Animal Kinship, we can skip the fight with GIAK PATROL (CS = 20 / END = 35).
(231) Choose a different path through the forest.
(182) Walk parallel to the old riverbed as you push on in a south-easterly direction. Then examine the remains.
(46) LOOT: Coil of Rope, 2 Swords, Axe, 3 Giak Spears, 2 Torches, Tinderbox. Take the Torch and the Tinderbox if you don't have the Lantern.
(137) You should avoid the encounter with the VORDAK ON KRAAN (CS = 18 / END = 27).
Nothing to gain and also you don't have Mindshield. Just retreat.
--- TEMPLE RUINS ---
(349) You should already used the Kai Sleep Crystal. In case you don't, keep it for the last fight.
(172) Use the bow (2 arrows), then fight the GIAKS (CS = 13 / END = 17).
(50) The Tahglo Fungi are unuseful. Don't bother.
(236) Now go RGHT!! If you go LEFT you will face a DEATH SCENARIO (avoidable with Lantern or Torch + Tinderbox) and fighting SKELETONS (CS = 10 / END = 30) and CRYPT SPAWNS (CS = 20 / END = 20).
(312) You can SKIP the PIT OF DARKNESS (CS = 20 / END = 20)!! Nothing to gain there, only possible DEATH SCENARIO (we also miss Mindshield!).
Ascend the staircase.
(303) Ambush the giak and loot the Giak's Keys (Special item).
(240) Use the Giak's Keys and LOOT - Weapons: Broadsword, Mace, Sword, Warhammer, Bow and Quiver (6 arrows), Axe, Spear, Dagger, Shield (+2 CS special item), Potion of Alether (+2CS).
Your equipment should already be "top class" at this moment.
(192) Walk around the bridge. We will avoid the DEATH SCENARIO.
(246) The PIT OF DARKNESS will strike at you, but we will manage with only -3 END loss.
(112) Leave the cave.
(272) Healing allowed: +2 END. We need to acquire a Red Stone Disc (special item) and so far we avoided meeting Drakkars.
(280) Use the bow (+1 arrow), there is 20% chance to auto-win. Sadly there is also 20% chance of DEATH!!! (it could have been prevented with Hunting or Weaponskill with bows).
Otherwise we have to fight WOUNDED DRAKKAR (CS = 16 / END = 16). He will drop the Red Stone Disc (special item) and 1 Broadsword.
(283) Move to the finale.
(200) Lore moment: Pirate king Kharam and Drakkar officer Darak Torg will explain that they are searching for the Book of Vashna, a black magic book, considered a treasure of lost secret knowledge for the Nadziranim.
(71) Healing allowed: +2 END. Prepare for last fight. If you still have the Kai Sleep Crystal, you should use it now and it's auto-win.
(123) Bow and 1 arrow. You have 20% chance to auto-win. In worst case you will fight DARAK TORG (CS = 25 / END = 36). You should use Alether now: he is last boss.
(54) LOOT: Scroll of the Pit (special item). This is a quest item that you should deliver to the Kai Monastery as proof of activity of Darklands Armies in Kirlu. Also it is an hint for future adventure in Maakenmire Swamp.
YOU WON, MISSION COMPLETE!
(350) VICTORY !!!
You exit from the ruins and you sabotage the enemy cove throwing some Black Crystal bombs.
You run into the forest again and your next mission will be to get back to the Kai Monastery for report.
You will advance to the rank of Aspirant, so in your next adventure you will add one more Kai discipline :-)
However fate decided that you will have more adventures before coming home to the Monastery.
