Alberto Dal Lago did different covers for the Italian version of the CE, different from the 12 he did for Mongoose before being replaced. When he returned to do the covers for the CE for Holmgard Press, and seing that Holmgard was reusing the covers he did for the Italian version for the DE, I was expecting that from now on, his covers would be exactly the same between the Italian and English editions (that's what we got for 29, 30 and 31). And now, out of nowhere, I've stumbled over an announcement by Vincent Books that their version of book 24 CE is being delayed and they've posted the cover of the book: it is NOT exactly the same cover than the one from Holmgard Press. The walls are different, the background too and the more obvious things are the Vorka in the foreground. I don't have the cover without the red X and "delayed" tag yet but when I'll see it, I'll share it here.  |

Got it! Cheers! I suspect I would have glanced at it and automatically assumed it was the same art without checking. Weird that they commissioned him to do that- or perhaps it was alternate art from when he was working on the Holmgard version... This thread wins my internet. Thanks.  |

Seeing that there was another cover artwork done for book 30 that went unused while still looking similar to the one released, that's a strong possibility! |

I was told that book 8 has been skipped by Gallimard because they still have too many copies of the previous version available. They will get back to it once they get rid of the old version.

While we are at it, Dal Lago revealed the "new" cover for the Italian version of book 25... It's just the same one from Holmgard Press but the image is flipped... I don't think you'll add it to the list. (BTW, did you forget to add the new cover of book 9 in French in the list?)  |

So I thought I'd wait until Djib released the full art, which he's just done today:  Full art makes it even better - much nicer sense of the siege and some foreboding weather. |

Added: Jambo 1/2 (thanks Black Cat) Mantikore 29:  Surprised by the major name change - seems to translate as "The Hordes of Darkness". There's also the hardback engraving for the new Celaeno Books book 1 for Spain:  I can't tell from the crowdfunder site using machine translation if it's exclusive to book 1 or will be used for more books. If it turns out to be exclusive I will add it as well, so will wait to see what the others have.
