Obviously each book has a conclusion, but they never render LW out of commission.
I'm wondering if in the last book, The Hunger of Sejanoz, do they actually wrap things up permanently by making LW die or retire or something, or did they not know this would be the last book and leave it open for potential continuation?

Well, Hunger isn't the last book. Dever planned 4 more, but never got them published. The "ending" of Sejanoz was banged out when Joe found out it twas the last book. Incidentally, it's considered one of the worst books for the same reason, Joe rushed the completion of it when he found out the series was officially cancelled.

interesting. does the rushed ending of sejanoz conclude things though? or would it still be possible for the last 4 books he planned to be added to the series if a publisher was willing

The 'Sejanoz' arc gets concluded, but the overall story--if there was one--does not get concluded. Only Joe Dever himself knows what was supposed ot happen. :-\

Well, the book leaves the door open for the continuation of the series. The way it is written makes me believe that. JD left a lot of unfinished stories in the NO series (like Vandyan, Sesketera, Ulonga) and probably that all these things will find their endings in the last 4 books, if they ever get published...

maybe they'll be sent to project aon?
it's not like there's any licensing issues with books that haven't been published.

Maybe, but only Joe has the rights to allow PA to publish these books. I think that he prefers to keep them for himself right now in case that he finds a new publisher.

I hear Wizard, which is reprinting the Fighting Fantasy books, is considering getting the Lone Wolf series under their belt. Of course, that project is both compromised by, and compromises, the Project Aon...

If Wizard wants to publish some of the LW series, they can reprint the NO series (plus the missing 4 books! )

May be they want to reprint NO and the last 4 will be out as computer game action RPG (like Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic)? Speaking of computer games, I read somewhere in this forum that Joe is a game consultant. Should this be true, I wonder why he never put effort to turn Lone Wolf into real life 3D computer game? Or did he?

wahh....that is so sad I hope that some day the saga will be completed.. May be it follows the Star Wars trend; completed after three decades.... Nooooo....!!!!! I have an idea. Since I like scifi, what if Lone Wolf was somehow put into a suspended animation and woke up 7,000 years into the future. Instead of it being all magic and hand weapons, there could be lightsabers, hyperspace drives, cloaking technology (even though he doesn't need them), and antimatter weapons!\ That won't happen though.

I have an idea also....why don't you devote yourself to the lone wolf's fanfics. That would make a good start of an expanded universe of Aon... ;D

Considering the furore considering the modern epilogue to The Sacrifice at Ruanon, I seriously doubt that there will ever be sci-fi Lone Wolf!
