Fantastic new episode. I enjoyed it all, well up for a whole Noodnik episode with August doing the voice throughout ha ha! Getting his Noodnik bonus adventures widely released definitely gets my vote of course. So many interesting nuggets of lore throughout as well, it is making me very keen to do another playthrough soon. Looking forward to Kalte! Hah! August has already declined that idea, due to needing to be able to speak again. I've found the same thing, about the lore: it's opened up my eyes to a whole world moving around behind the scenes. It continues to get bigger as we enter the Magnakai series, too!

So, having had my appetite sufficiently whetted by Episode Zero that I was thinking it's likely they'll be a disappointment by comparison, they're absolutely great! Really enjoy the light-hearted nature of the discussions along with the depth into the lore that they go, I think you need both for this kind of thing. And having a mix of entry-level and detailed questions makes them accessible to the breadth of the audience. The revelations in relation to the death hulk fleet show just how detailed Joe was in developing the background to who was where, what they did, why they did it, etc. Already counting down the days to the next episode! That's wonderful you've enjoyed it so much! I promise Episode 3 won't disappoint, it's a great episode. I actually think it is where we find our stride, Episodes 1-2 were really testing out how we wanted to do things, and we lock it in by Episode 3.

I just listened to them one after the other, they are great!!! Well narrated, light in tone but serious on tackling the lore of Magnamund. And most importantly they give deep lore about Magnamund that is so interesting and add so much richness to this world. I started reading 30 years ago Lone Wolf, and finally having adults talking about it is so fu***ng wonderful Great job! I agree, when I found the lone wolf community online about 20 years ago, I felt like I'd found my people. And here I still am, 20 years later, and finally getting to give something back to the community. Your comments mean a lot, and I promise we'll keep the quality high moving forward.

Listened to the 1st 3 eps yesterday and am very impressed. Was initially 'oh, they're Americans' but once id got my ridiculous prejudice out of the way I really enjoyed the enthusiasm and knowledge & insight the presenters have. Cant wait for the next ep.

Loved it. Liked hearing your analysis and 'behind the scenes' information and what's revealed from Joe Dever's notes.

Was initially 'oh, they're Americans' but once id got my ridiculous prejudice out of the way I really enjoyed the enthusiasm and knowledge & insight the presenters have. Cant wait for the next ep. Huge laugh out loud at that! The number of folks who have been surprised to learn, after 20 years of knowing me and August through the forums and fan groups that have been shocked to discover we are American has been a joy. Also, I thought August was going to be British until we first talked about the project!! So you are not alone. I will say that the American (and any overseas fans) are among the most DEDICATED. I mean... we had to contend with edited books and broken sections, no books after book 20, and never getting any color maps! And yet here we are, still loving and supporting the series 40 years later. It was very lonely being an American fan (and I imagine, Singaporean, Japanese, and other non-UK fan). But sticking with it has paid off immensely.

Something stirs in the cold, dark wastelands of Kalte... ... it's Jonathan and August! Bundle up and join us as we take an expedition to Kalte, one of my favorite books in the entire series. "Vonotar the Traitor, the traitorous magician who helped the Darklords slaughter your kin, has been found. The people demand he be brought to justice and so you, Lone wolf, last of the Kai Lords, head on a perilous journey to the frozen wastelands of Kalte. But you won't be alone: August and Jonathan will explore the icy wastes with you, discovering the secrets of Ikaya, learning the machinations of Vonotar, and discussing some major What If scenarios." open.spotify.com/episode/6kraFvDji5sL6HmZfW0YQa?go=1&sp_cid=cc6d229df1578a2da87093b9b3942d1b&utm_source=embed_player_p&utm_medium=desktop&nd=1

Absolutely fascinating podcast, trying to get through it while working which is a bit problematic but great stuff so far! But did everyone except for me know the glacier is spelled Vlad and not Viad? Have I had that wrong my whole life? Also, I always had the 'e' at the end of Kalte as silent, so it rhymes with 'halt'...

Kal-te was not something I knew to say until basically this podcast! I always said one syllable KALT before now. The VLAD glacier is another one I sympathize. On my USA black and white map, it really looks like VIAD glacier and I even called it that for a long time, before I read the color map on project aon some years back.

Anyway having gotten to the end of the episode it's another absolute gem!
While it's awful having only one a month it's great to be in on the ground floor on this!
One thought, are we seeing each one as being the end of the revelations on that book or could we use either this thread or the Facebook page or whatever as a place for follow up questions?
I'll hold off on book 3 follow up questions until everyone's heard this one but seeing as you're both active on the web and happy to take questions before the episodes are recorded, it would be great if that was possible.

What better time to listen a podcast about a very cold place when the temperature outside is -25°C (that's -13°F for my American friends)...
Good episode as always but... Is it Kal-tay or Kalt? In this episode, August and Jonathan say Kal-tay but Ben says Kalt... I'm honestly confused...

Oh, we don't consider ourselves the "end to all discussion!" NO, rather the opposite, we are hoping this encourages MORE and MORE discussion! Please feel free to ask questions here or on Facebook. I am most active on the Lonewolf Gamebook Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/magnamund). I don't want to speak for August but I believe he is also most active there I do check here, though, too, just not daily.

On Facebook, this is what August said regarding this matter: So I'll keep using "Kalt" (because I've read the books first in French and that's how it is pronounced).
