Hi! First of all let me tell you that I was bored at work when I suddenly remember those wonderful books of Lone Wolf... I searched... I found this... read the first book again... went home and search the books... and read the second and third in paper again!!! I love you all ;D Thank you!! And now I have a question, I've found a diamond at Kalte (3rd book) and I think I remember that the diamonds were useless am I wrong? Now that I have found this WONDERFUL project I will play them all, although in paper I have some missing By the way, I'm spanish, so I have the spanish editions, it's strange for me to read the Disciplines in english hahaha See you!

off topic but I had some problem when I made a spoiler post that white isnt in the colour drop box,and if you don't pay attention or know html you can't switch to white which is much better than the yellow that actually can be read on many screens. Oh,and think there might be a place in tower of death where you can use it,not sure though, probably a red herring

Well, if you don't know html, you can always use beige. It is far better for disguising things than yellow. The diamond might be useful. You never know. And welcome to Project Aon!

So you mean that for spoilers is better to use beige? testing, testing red herring = something useless? Searching the web for a translation to spanish, herring appears to be a kind of fish ;D

If you play around with the HTML tags you can make the text completely invisible until you highlight it, which my favourite method of posting spoilers. Even beige is readable if you squint a bit.

Yup, all you have to do to get your text to disappear is insert {color=white}{/color} around it. Use the normal brackets instead of the squiggleys.
By the way, the only places I can think of off the top of my head where the Diamond can be used are (spoiler): 1) In book 6, after the archery tourney. You can buy Altan's horse from him with a special item (or is it two?). The text doesn't specify items, so you can use anything. Even old maps or your ticket from the Port Bax coach trip will do. 2) In book 8, at the store where you can buy the Grey Crystal Ring, if you pay for it in cash (40 GCs!), you can sell any unwanted special items to the shopkeeper for 8 GCs each.(/spoiler)

You can use the Diamond in Book 3... but it's along the "failure" path where you return alone by sledge to the ship.

Is this the one where: You "bribe" the guard outside of Vonotar's chamber? Well, distract rather than bribe, and it's not exactly by Vonotar's chamber, but on the way there yes.

Hi Alzhaid, welcome to the forum. This site gives you the history of the English term 'red herring'. Hope you find it useful and informative. Interesting, indeed. Of course, it's far more interesting to watch someone chop down the largest tree in the forest with a herring!

Hehe, thanks for the answers, I will chek that uses of the diamond... By the way, this "whitening" of the texts has drive me a little paranoid, now I'm highlighting all the time the posts to see if there is something hidden ;D Maybe beige it's good enough: al least you see that something is written! And it is difficult to read without intention, I think Interesting also the story about the red herrings, thanks for the link
