I love the books here, especially with the stats keeper (much easier than keeping track of everything with pencil and paper, especially things like gold and EP that frequently change). I was really into all the different pick your own adventure books back in the day (pick-a-path, choose your own adventure, time machine, wizards, warriors, and you, and especially lone wolf). I do have one suggestion though. The 450px wide body looks bad on large screen resolutions, there's way too much dead space. There is a simple fix though that will make it looks good on all resolutions, remove the left:100px; , margin:0px; , and width:450px; attributes from the body property in the main.css file for each book, and replace them with margin-left:95px; and margin-right:95px; . This will make it self adjust to the browser window. Here are some screens: Unaltered main.css: allspark.net/cypherswipe/aon-wolf2.pngImproved main.css at full screen width: allspark.net/cypherswipe/aon-wolf.pngImproved main.css with browser narrowed to produce the same sized page as the unaltered main.css: allspark.net/cypherswipe/aon-wolf3.pngI have tested this in ie6, mozilla, and opera7, and it works perfectly in all of them. I realize the css was probably set that way originally to most accurately reproduce the appearance of the original books. However, I think it's more important to have it look good in the browser.

Thank you for taking the time to make your suggestions. It is appreciated. The only problem that I have with your suggestion is that it becomes difficult for a reader to track with their eyes from the end of one line of text to the beginning of the next when the text becomes too wide. That's why professional publications (i.e. newspapers, magazines, etc.) don't typically have columns wider than 40-60 characters. The web with its glorious free-for-all publication has largely ignored that problem. I hope to create alternate stylesheet themes for the books at some point. This may allow both of us to get our way. -- Jon Blake Project Aon Volunteer
