I want to be able to print off the books to play them, which is an unfeasable task when the pages are spread across many HTML files. Can I obtain the books in pdf format or print in some other way? Thanks

Hi Edwin
Welcome to the Project Aon forums.
PDF conversions are definitely being mooted at this time, though currently none exist. The difficulty comes in converting the source XML data into PDF, since page size limitations affect the flow of the text. What should in theory be a straightforward conversion to PDF ends up requiring many tweaks to prevent orphan lines, and this can take a couple of hours for each book--time which is not always easy to come by.
We do hope to have a few sample Beta PDFs of the first couple of books in the near future, however, so please keep checking the site.

Hello, First I have to thank you people for giving me access to all those nice books. (I live in a country where not all books were released). About the print versions: I, too, would be happy to be able to read the books while not on a computer. Sure, those books are essentially hyper text, but I'd like to be able to read them everywhere. I understand that making a NICE Pdf is a lot of boring work, but I would be satisfied if I had a simple automatically generated PDF with all the bad formatting like loose lines. It doesn't need to be PDF, a TXT file would be okay, too.
The Text file could be like this: - only the numbered sections - links replaced with "[42]" or something like that
[ADDED] Oh, I just found that you can view the books as one html file. I'll print that, never mind.

I'm currently printing a book in the simplified html form. it's all in one document which is great. I'm printing 4 pages to an A4 sheet and its 30 pages.
It looks like someone has spent a lot of time copying and pasting to generate these simple html versions. wouldn't it be easier to use XSL to format the XML? Then you could convert that straight to PDF?
I would like a PDF with the pictures too too, optimized for printing. E.G. lots of pages from the game text on one sheet, and a seperate sheet for the combat result table and other important stuff.
Let me know what you think of these ideas, i might be able to help out if you would like (I'm studing for a computer science degree).
Thanks
Edwin
