I just closed down the statskeeper without thinking to save, having played all the way through to the end of book 4.
I remember I had the Sommerswerd, Dagger of Vashna, a shield, a chainmail waistcoat, a silver helmet, the brotherhood pendant thingy, all skills except mindshield, base 19 cs and 25 end, 45 crowns, one alether potion, 4 laumspur potions (one with +5 end).
Is there anything else significant I would/might have had that I've forgotten?

Did you get the Firesphere in book 3? Other than that it sounds like you're good to go.

You can't have all skills except Mindshield by the end of Book 4. In book 4, provided you've played 1-3, you're a Warmarn/Journeyman, and have 8 skills. When you start Book 5 you gain an extra skill and become a Savant. Only when you start Kingdoms of Terror have you mastered all 10 Kai Disciplines.
You might have picked up a +4 Alether in Book 3, and you might also have picked up an Onyx Medallion (Special Item) in Book 4 too.

I take it you meant that you just completed book 4 and picked your next Discipline, which left you without Mindshield. You would also have the Blue Stone Triangle, whether you came up with the Kalte Firesphere OFX mentioned or not. It may be useful in book 5. . .

It may be useful in book 5. . . If it's used for what I think you're talking about, then you don't actually need it. Spoiler: The door in the tomb opens by itself if you have neither the BST nor the Prism. And I forgot about the +4 Alether Potion in book 3, which saved my hide in book 11, and the Onyx Medallion. Both are useful.

So now we know : Alether won't go stale over the years ! I can't believe they don't put conservatives in those things (or maybe a fridge back at the monastery ?).

Well, it was distilled to begin with.
Er, conservatives or preservitives?

speak very well me does No way I'm gonna pass that off as a gallicism ? I meant preservative. over here, we use 'conservative' for canned goods; strangely enough, no political party ever tried to claim the word

You know, I actually thought about that later on after I'd posted above. I was reading "Book of the Magnakai" the other day, which reminded me. Oh well. . .
