Just looking through the maps in the companion, and noticed that the numbering system on pg 14 is off, the numbers on the map for southern magnamund continue counting from where the north left off (31 I think) while the numbers in the legend start at 1 - makes the map unreadable.

That's an odd one, this used to be correct in earlier versions.
Simon, what hast thou done? :-)

What have I done? Best ask what fsking OpenOffice has done, since it's so kindly eaten my source file for The Magnamund Companion! I recovered all the text from it (eventually . . .) but I had to restart the layout of the entire file (again, again, again, again) from scratch, back in good ol' M$-Word. That was in mid-May. I have a mostly-complete copy that I keep meaning to finalise, and the error Al mentioned is also fixed. It's looking like all the hyperlink information got trashed, though, so I need to redo all that. Again. *sigh* Look for another version of this file soon-ish. I'm having too much "fun" learning xml editing and fixing up offline copies of the Project Aon books. Might speed things up, y'never know.

No worries, it's rather cathartic to have a moan sometimes. ;D My main rant is that OpenOffice, as much as I really want to like it, simply isn't mature enough in software terms to be relied upon. It's buggy, and the internal structure of the save format is wont to get trashed very easily. And once that's happened, wave goodbye to any hope of recovering the file; though you can usually recover all the text. The version of TMC I'm working on has a different layout to all previous versions . . . you'll see what I mean very soon (I hope) . . .
