No, Books 18-28 are not yet online. They need much work to be done--some need scanning because we don't yet have the text for them!! If anyone would like to help in this regard, check out the Assignments Page for more details. (End of begging message!) There is work going on right now on Books 18 and 19, and on all four titles of the Freeway Warrior series.

Wouldn't it be good to have some kind of Project status block, like we have over at TotS, with an estimated % of completion of each books you are working on?

It wouldn't work, to be honest. It's best not to give any ETAs because we'd rarely--if ever--meet them. At least we are available for comment via this site!

Ah...that needs a lot of effort to upload them online. Even I am thinking that if we can have this gamebook in chinese language translation, it will be better too.... China/Taiwan/HK has a lot of readers.

Actually, I should probably clarify further. If we were working on something from scratch (e.g. a piece of fiction) then it would be possible to say is was xx% complete. The problem with making the Lone Wolf books available is that we're having to scan the existing text, proofread it, edit it, and revise it for style and consistency. If you take a quick look at the number of open issues against books we've already released, you'll see that plenty of issues get missed because we think we've revised them enough. It always happens that a Comment Period of one week is proposed because we think the book is very close to completion, and then a huge list of problems appears, and it can take weeks to sort though all these issues. So we might think the book is 90% complete, when looking back, it turns out that it was actually only about 66% or 75% complete. So a progress meter won't work, I'm afraid.

Greetings, gentle people.
I've enjoyed the Lone Wolf gamebooks for a few years, now, and I still do. The trouble is that I have only French translations of those books, and I've run into a few misdirections (and ugly translations too, for several names common in the Magnamund).
For instance, in this very "Dawn of the Dragons" text, section 221 sends me to section 308 (which is obviously incorrect). I have backtracked the plot line and replaced the wrong "turn to" entry with section 275, but something feels amiss. Would anyone of you give me the correct redirection when you have time ?
Thank you in advance.

Hi nyxl
Welcome to the Project Aon forum!
Section 221 should lead to Section 275 according to the Red Fox edition.
Hope it helps.

Thank you for the welcome and the lightning fast reply ! It sure confirms what I suspected. The wording of this section (275) is closer to what is written in section 99 (about Dorst and his men shooting arrows at the Kraan).
I hope I can return the favour some time.

OH MY GOD YOU HAVE JUST RUINED THE BOOK FOR ME AND MY ENTIRE LONE WOLF EXPERIENCE

Hi! I'm on the mailing list of the projectaon@freelists.org and received an email with the title "05sots text map replacement and 18dotd updated". I'm wondering... Where's 18dotd? It's not on the website yet...

Book 18 is still stuck at the editing stage. We are currently involved in revising the text of the existing Books 1-17 (as per Joe Dever's request) before we release the next book. Probably. There is a pre-release version of Book 18 available for Beta-testing here. Note that there are already a number of outstanding issues against this book which will be resolved before its final publication. Anyone wishing to help edit Book 18 is advised to playtest this Beta release and report any issues back to us at Project Aon. The subject line of the E-mail on the PA list from Jon Blake was in response to a previous E-mail made some time ago regarding updating the Beta version of Dawn of the Dragons and updating Book 5: Shadow on the Sand, both of which were completed some time ago. Sorry for raising any hopes.
