Hi.
It seems rather bad of me to be away for such a long while and come back immediately with a miner problem, ---- sorry about this.
However, I was doing a pod cast about Projectaon and Lonewolf to go up on a web site about accessible games (a while ago I did one about the fighting fantasy project site), and I ran into a miner trouble with the newly updated books.
the weaponry skill table, on the Kai disiplins page of each book where you roll to see what weapon you have at the start of the game now appears to be an illustration, rather than a text list the way it was before.
this isn't too much of a problem sinse I found a nicely accessible copy of the table in the Kai disiplins section of the Readers handbook, ----- another advantage of Wikification.
but Perhaps there should be a link somewhere to point people in the right direction?
I'll try the pod cast again this evening, reading the rules from the Readers' handbook rather than the sections in the actual books.
Oncemore, appologies for coming back instantly with a miner problem.

Hi dark, I was just wondering if had checked out the simplified versions of the early books. They are text-only with text replacements for most of the game critical illustrations. We're working on map replacements. The simplified versions are linked to with the text "View as Single Page". A good example is the simplified Flight from the Dark: www.projectaon.org/en/xhtml-simple/lw/01fftd.htmLet me know what you think.

Very nice. appologies again, though i knew about the single page thing, ----- both on the site and through the news letter, I didn't really take notice of it, and I'm afraid I didn't click that it also meant extra accessibility in the books.
I particularly like the idea of map and other illustration descriptions. this is something I've very rarely seen done, ----- in fact the only site I know that's started on something like this is the Chronicals of Arborell gamebook site. as well as the obvious bennifits of having the weaponry table etc, and of course learning the appropriate geography,- ---- something which is always good to know, I wonder if this will also help in the puzle sections of Shaddow on the sand and Castle death?
It was also nice to get a propper look at the action chart. Thus far I've been constructing my own in ms word, ----- actually using a similar format to the original without knowing it. Perhaps in the "Resources for the visually impared" section you could include a Txt copy of the action chart which people could fill in? Along with the combat results table.
Unfortunately, one of my more destracting friends appeared this afternoon as i was preparing to do the Pod cast about Projectaon and Lone wolf, ---- though sinse I didn't previously know about the one page accessibility that might be a blessing in disguise.

We'll keep working on it. Keep in touch if you have any other ideas on how to improve our accessibility.
