20 YEARS OF “LONE WOLF”: THE AUTHOR JOE DEVER AT LUCCA GAMES
Lucca Games 2004 will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the gamebook saga which has become the most important all over the world (more than 20 books, with average print runs of 50000 copies each): the legendary saga of Lone Wolf.
It was in 1984 that in England was published “Flight from the dark”, the first chapter of the set, a book which would have been translated into Italian the following year with the title of “I Signori delle Tenebre”, awarded with the prize Selezione Bancarellino in 1986.
Lucca Games, the only exhibition in the world to celebrate the most famous of the gamebooks, makes it grandly, with the presence of the author: Joe Dever. The writer will meet his fans in two occasions in the meeting room at Lucca Games.
Seizing this opportunity, our audience will have the chance to play with the three-dimensional manufactures by Tommy Nicosia. A set of eight interactive-reading miniature showcases whose succession is chosen by the spectator, that will guide the audience through the main stages of Flight from the Dark. An event carved into another: as Andrea Angiolino, the father of the Italian gamebooks, said “It’s the first experiment in the world of a Diorama Game”.
