My website for the new gamebooks is up. It is here: www.csh.rit.edu/~tonyl/lonewolf/I will eventually begin a topic for it here, but not until I have some significant work finished on it. The color scheme is just a little like Project Aon's, isn't it? Sol

Whew, after a few months away from the boards there is SO much to catch up on! To add to this subject, I've been kicking around the idea of rewriting the Legends series, perhaps following a different path through the original gamebooks than Grant/Barnett took. Of course, this would be a bit down the road, like after I finish: A) My Bachelor's degree B) My own version of the LW RPG that I started years ago C) Using spare time to edit books 17-20 We'll see if it ever happens, but I think it would be fun, and ultimately a series that would focus more on LW than the original did because it would be written by a fan. I could even run a poll to see which way people would want LW to go through the books. . . Getting ahead of myself already. ;D Edit: Best of all, no freaking Q******!!! ;D

Shhhh! Rel, that's my secret project! (I even started subtly fishing for information about the First Order of the Kai a while back, to accurately set up the backdrop to the first book...) Of course, I've only got some of the books planned out, so a collaborative effort might be a good idea...

Rel, Peregrine, I'm sure I speak for many when I say that I'm waiting with bated breath! ;D As has been said before, a lot of the information in Eclipse of the Kai is sound and almost certainly comes directly from Dever himself, but while I'm sure the removal of Alyss will be a tough decision and a hard wrench, I'm sure we'll all feel better for it in the long run!

I think it would be a good, if very difficult project. Do remember you'll have to set up for Alyss somehow, as she does come into the series later on. And besides, out of all of Grant's characters, she wasn't the worst. In fact, if she hadn't been given the powers to do whatever she pleased, she would've been a very interesting character.
Of course, Grant's been known to come down hard on writers who even reference his work, um, "incorrectly"
And that's if you DONT use Alyss. I'm betting if Grant gets wind of the project at all he'll become quite inflamatory.
On a side note, what are all the current projects? We've got my Silencer Series (first part should be out in March, check out the new forum for more details) Sol's Extended Lone Wolf Series (no idea where he is right now) Etienne's angel series (no idea where he went to) Ronan finished his series, correct? And now Relenoir's crazy project. I say crazy because of the amount of work that would have to go into it, but then again, who am I to talk?

Well, if it's based entirely off the gamebooks, I don't see what Grant would have to complain about, so long as any clear back-references from the gamebooks to the Legends are subtly altered. Yes, like removing Alyss from the Grand Master series. Her secondary role could be just as well served by a being completely different to the Grant character. Named, umm, Ariss.

In fact, Ronan is nowhere close. lol. Anyways, how are you guys doing? I am going to stop refering to myself in the third person right about now. I have books 1 and 2 done out of a planned 20. Though I guess the story could be told in 12. There has to be a minimum of 12. I'm about halfway through the third one right now and most likely won't get the chance to finish it until this summer. The latest additions of books 1 and 2 are available at the Tower of the Sun website.

I'm at 200 sections out of probably around 1000 for the first book. Revising begins next week, as well as some playtesting (still looking for help on this front. Currently it's, um, me and my fiance). Then it's gonna be released to the internet public, at which point I start part II and wait with bated breath for reviews, critiques, responses, praise and funding...

You know, Ronan, that sounds suspiciously like a riff on Lone Wolf. It was a story that could have been told in 12, was told in 20 and then had another 8 in sequels!
NS.

Hey, Ronan, nice to see. . . er, read you! Been awhile, doing okay, and hope you are as well. Now for the thread-relevant part. . . You know, Ronan, that sounds suspiciously like a riff on Lone Wolf. It was a story that could have been told in 12, was told in 20 and then had another 8 in sequels! NS. Well of course it does, Ronan's adventures are designed to parallel what's going on with Lone Wolf as a Vakeros during the same time period. They're exciting adventures, I might add.

Yeah, I'm stilll alive you guys. I've been really busy with work and class lately and my duties over at Tower of the Sun seem to multiply every once in a while. Plus I was sick with a virus for about a week in a half and that didn't help at all. Anyways, nice to see yall too.
