Okay I have a question and I'm not exactly sure if this is the place to ask it. As most of you know I have written a book that coensides with the Lone Wolf series for my own personal entertainment and it is nearing completion after about 9 months of working on it. I think it would be a great idea for Project Aon to make it available to their fans. I find it personally enjoyable and is fairly large. Right now I am working on tweaking the plot a little bit now that I am reading the Legends of Lone Wolf series and can make it coenside to the Lone Wolf timeline.
All I wish is credit for writing the book and a guarentee that nobody will use it for any purpose other then their own use. I think that I have done a great job in writing this book and alot of my time has gone into it. As soon as I get home from school I will put some exerts from the book below so you (Project Aon staff) can see how much detail has gone into this book and that it is not linear in the slightest. What do you think about adding this book to the sight? If you wish I will email you the book in full for your review (it will take me another couple weeks to finish tweaking the book). Email me if you have any questions.

194 Time seems to be going by in slow motion as you wait for an opportunity. The pirate next to you has a longbow and you wait for the perfect moment to launch your attack. In one swift, fluid moment you relieve the pirate of his bow and kick him over the edge of the ship. As you rise to your feet every longbow and crossbow turns to aim at your heart, but they dare not fire. Your arrow playfully tickles the astounded pirate captain’s chin. The pirates gasp at the speed in which you distanced to reach the captain. The arrow is drawn back to your mouth and if you were to fire now it would kill him instantly.
“But those carvers up.” you order the nearest pirates,” or your captain will die before your swords fall!”<br> “Hmm,” says the pirate captain,” it seams as if we are at a standoff.”<br> His eyes glance warily at the arrow pressed against his jugular,” I think that we can work out some sort of negotiation.”<br> Looking over a pirate’s shoulder you see another vessel approaching through the storm. Only this is no pirate vessel. The sun emblem on the mast’s flag is unmistakable.
“No negotiation necessary,” with that you let loose the arrow, fling the bow at your feet, and launch yourself at the enemy ranks.
Turn to 130.
205 The alley is quite narrow and the leader of the bandits sends his two friends to fight you first. You must fight them and then the thief leader after. Due to the narrowness of the alley if you are fighting with a double-handed weapon other than a Quarterstaff deduct 3 from your CS for the duration of the combat.
Thieves CS 16 EP 20
Thief Leader CS 17 EP 23
If you win the combat turn to page 193.
218 There is a sharp cracking noise as your ankle breaks under your weight. The fall has caused you to fracture the bone and you now lie helpless in the middle of the street. Seeing your unfortunate state, the assassin quickly and silently presses his blade to your throat. He then wipes the blade on your Magi Cloak before disappearing among the crowd.
Your life ends here in Holmgard.
130 As you strike down the first pirate the Sommlending ship pulls along side the stern of the Lavender Drake. Swords score flesh and deadly quarrels pierce plate as Sommlending soldiers hit the pirate ranks. You are engaged in combat with two of these pirates and you cannot evade. Due to the slippery deck if you are wearing Kalkoth boots add 2 to your Combat Skill for this combat only.
Lakuri Pirate CS 15 EP 19
Lakuri Pirate 2 CS 12 EP 20
If you slay both of the pirates, turn to 88.
53 Drawing your weapon you burst through the heavy oak doors of the holy cathedral. Bishops and acolytes of the cathedral look up in astonishment at your intrusion. Your face turns red as you realize you have disturbed these people from their prayer. The archbishop points a finger at you in anger and speaks,” How dare you defy this holy sanctuary with your blood-lusting thoughts and your weapon of steel?”<br> If you are wearing a Sigil of Kai, turn immediately to 137. If you wish to plead for forgiveness, turn to 181. If you wish to search the cathedral for the assassin, turn to 9. If you wish to quickly leave the cathedral, turn to 163.

I know I'd like to read it sometime. I've toyed with the idea of writing a gamebook, but I've been overburdened with term papers and I haven't had time for non-essential writing. But, now I can tell you more than you've ever wanted to know about Saudi Arabia (it's sort of like Vassagonia . . .).
Well, as LW could have learned in Kingdoms of Terror, sometimes an abundance of blood-lusting in a church is a bad idea.
Oh, and the pirates sound like a nice touch.

Thanks Cadak for the input. It is my hope that all Lone Wolf fans will be able to have access to my book. I have worked very hard on it and it seams a waste for me to simply enjoy myself. Especially since I know it backwards and forewards. By the way, if some scenes to seam familiar to any of the Lone Wolf books I apologize. I tried to be as original as possible.

No, I wasn't knocking it; it sounds cool. I mean, I wouldn't be polite if somebody barged into my church service with a drawn sword. But, yeah, I'd like to read it when you're finished tweaking. I'll be done with exams in a couple of weeks.

I also think the prospect of playing as a Vakeros sounds cool; I don't think they were as developed as they could have been. Plus, they had those cool blue swords.

Yes my book takes full advantage of the Vakeros blue-steel. Not to mention there are 12 Magi Magics/Vakeros Discaplines to choose from! Oh I have also taken the liberty of adding more weapons in. Broadsword* Sword Axe Spear* Longbow* Crossbow Warhammer Dagger Battle Axe* Thunderhammer* Bastion* Bastard Sword Longsword* Scimitar Short Sword Battlesword* Quarterstaff* Mace *indicates a two-handed weapon and cannot be used with another weapon or shield. I have also added in different classes/paths that you can take as you go through the game. Your actions decide which of these paths take. Each one has its own advantages. I won't give anymore away because I don't want to take away the excitement. ;D

Sweet! I always thought someone in the LW universe should get to use a crossbow at some point; the only one you find (in LW1 if I'm not mistaken) is damaged beyond repair and you don't get to use it. So, yeah, definitely keep the crossbow.

This crossbow isn't a traditional medieval crossbow, in fact it is quite small. It has many advantages and dissadvantages when compared to the longbow. The longbow has a greater range but the crossbow is more easily concealed. The crossbow can be pre-loaded before combat so it is easy to use when a surprising situation arrives. However it takes a considerably longer time to reload then the longbow does. crossbows do more damage at short range and have a greater chance of piercing armor/plate then longbows. Plus it has a greater accuracy. However they are more expensive as are the bolts that you fire with it and they are slightly heavier.
Note: As you can tell from the weapons list the crossbow is a 1-handed weapon. Therefore it is much easier to prepair for hand-to-hand combat WHILE firing it at an enemy. As you can see I have added as much to the book as possible.

So it's not like a medieval crossbow that would have to be cranked?

No it definately is not one of those bulky things. Picture it as so light that you could fire it with one hand (like a pistol). Obviously it does take two hands in order to pull back the string and set the bolt (hence, takes longer to reload). However it is small, durable, and easily concealed.

Sounds a lot like a sturdier version of the hand-crossbows used by the Drow elves (Nerethel's favorite). Ronan, I can see a lot of hard work has gone into this gamebook, and I can hardly wait to read it. The teasers you left certainly got me interested!

That's great; I'll definitely be looking forward to it, especially the new types of characters you can play.

Publishing fan fiction is not with in the project's scope, sorry. We are busy enough with our original mission: to provide the original works (and possible apocrypha by the original authors, if we would get the chance) in electronic format, and to provide aids to enhance the ease and enjoyment of playing them.
But! We are - or I am anyway - willing to help you publish your book in the same format that we use, using the same transformation from XML to HTML (and PDF too, if wanted), if you like.
Remember, Project Aon is not the online Lone Wolf community, it just attempts to be a contributor to it.
