Actually if it could be transfered to pdf format I would gladly simply email it to anybody who wishes! Or maybe I will just put it on my own Lone Wolf site (still in the process of being created but I will but a link to it below). www.geocities.com/city_of_hammerdal/maingates.html

What format is it? If it's Word-compatible I can make it into a PDF.

I created it with Word. But anyways. I have no problem giving it to anyone who wants it as long as they are a true Lone Wolf fan. After all, those who truly appretiate Lone Wolf won't use it for their own ends, I am sure. I would feel more comfurtable were it in PDF however. At least that way it cannot be altered.

Well, then, I can make it into a PDF if you're interested.

Keep coming back to the forum and I will hit you back on this in...say two weeks? By then I should have all the tweaks worked out. I'm still proof-reading (a very slow, agonizing process) because after all, spell check doesn't see everything. Thank you very much for your offer, I think I'll take you up on it when the time comes. I am so stoked about finishing the book. I am planning a second one which coinsides with 'Fire on the Water'. However it will be a LONG time before I finish that one. Alot of work has to go into these before I am satisfied.

Sure, in two weeks I'll be back home and I'll be able to help you out. I know what it's like to have to keep tweaking things.

Here are a couple more exerts...
106 As you bend down to attempt to heal Ilidan, Fy-quor stays your hand,” he has been marred by a rir-thor blade. It is gilt with metal not found on this world and forged within the fiery furnaces of the dark city itself. He will soon pass into the Plane of Darkness; there is no saving him now (gain 1 Compassion point for the attempt).”<br> 124 Wallice gurgles as you coldly slit his throat (you loose 2 Honor points and 1 Compassion point). You let out a war-cry and leap up onto the bar as he falls to the floor. Mugs full of beer and ale crash to the floor and walls as the seven brigands rush forward. You leap forward onto a table but it cannot support your weight. It crashes under you but luckily the shower of broken glass from the ale mugs does not injure you. As you rise to your feet the brigands attack. You twist aside and the first brigand crashes to the puke-crusted floorboards. After deflecting the second pirate’s blow you leap to the side and trip him. The brigands fall back for a moment but then gather their nerve and rush you.
Drunken Brigands CS 12 EP 31
If you win the combat turn to page 21.

If I can make it in pdf format I think I will just have whoever wants it send me their email address and I will send it to them. All I ask is the basics. Don't rewrite or change anything (purpose of pdf) and don't claim it as your own work. I don't think there will be any problem with that. Tell you what. Email me at bry_board_freak@yahoo.com and leave your email addy, your forum S/N, and your full name and I will add you to a specific list. That way I can always email you the book in aprox. 2 weeks as well as any updates that may accur (bound to happen).
Please entitle your email Lone Wolf. Thanks.

Just as a follow on from Thomas' post, remember that while the work remains yours and is (c) you, the setting is (c) Joe Dever 1984-2004 and should be credited as such. That aside, I, too, would like to read your work.

Oh trust me I know very well that Sommerlund, Magnamund, bla, bla, bla are property of Joe Dever. Like I said before. This is simply for entertainment purposes and for our enjoyment. That's is why I have no problem simply giving it away.

That's is why I have no problem simply giving it away. Ah, but you're not giving it away, you are allowing it to be freely distributed. If you were giving it away, you wouldn't care whether someone edited it, stuck their own name on it, claimed it as their own. Since you're proud of your work (and probably justifiably so, if the teasers you've posted are anything to go by), you want others to enjoy it for free, but you retain the copyright as the author. Joe Dever is doing the exact same thing. In fact, I'd imagine many of us have turned our hands to writing at some point or another and posted our works to the internet (for good or for bad!).

You have phrases like 'bastard sword' and 'puke-crusted floorboards' - this is demonstrates a very poor command of the original source material.
The books should inspire, not creak with cliched writing
