Nah. More like, it seems to me, Dever assumed that if you have ever possessed the Sommerswerd, you're likely to have brought it with you to the Daziarn, and therefore wouldn't have ended up in that section. And if you have never owned the Sommerswerd, the Ironheart Broadsword would be the best weapon you have ever wielded. Agreed! The Sommerswerd would have to be the best weapon Lone Wolf had ever owned/used, considering the fact that it had been created by a god!!! I doubt Joe ever assumed people wielding the Sommerswerd would leave it behind on purpose once they got it.

I agree with outspaced here. I don't think Joe Dever factored in the possibility that you might have posessed the Sommerswerd then lost it, or left it in safe-keeping. Otherwise the text would get clunky very quickly. -GB Oh, I see it now. It's pretty confusing you know! Many thanks you all. As for the Dagger of Vashna, I'd imagine that Vashna's axe would be considerably more powerful, because I don't believe for a second that Vashna would let Kraagenskul have a better weapon than him. -GB Vashna's Axe Never came across that before. Did I miss something in the previous books? (i.e. 1-15)

Nah, it's in the Legends. It's mentioned in Sacrifice of Ruanon. You might not remember because many people undergo therapy to forget the horrors of that book.
Personally I wasn't too bothered by it.

Ehi people, there are also the 2 mental rings... Psychic Ring It gives bonus against Zakhan Kimah; it is useful also for increasing Combat Skill in the psychic fight against the Shadow Reavers in The Prisoners of Time Grey Crystal Ring Increase the Combat Skill in the psychic fight againt the Shadow Reavers. They are "weapons" for mental combats, don't you think ? Similar to the Dagger of Vashna, they have no combat skill bonus but they add bonus in some special conditions (mental combats). We don't know why the Great Master doesn't carry them...

Ehi people, there are also the 2 mental rings... Yeah, but the Shield also gives a CS bonus, but it's not a weapon.

I guess I should explain why I asked the question. I'm currently playing through the books using the 'dual wield' weapons system we discussed here a few weeks ago. So I was interested in knowing if there was any weapons other than the Sommerswerd and the Bronin Warhammer that gave CS bonuses.
But being as I'm reasonably sure there aren't any (that don't come with some sort of penalty, and can be used permanently), I thought I'd expand the question to weapons that give any bonuses at all - for interests sake.

Psychic RingIt gives bonus against Zakhan Kimah; it is useful also for increasing Combat Skill in the psychic fight against the Shadow Reavers in The Prisoners of Time Oh....Psychic Ring not only gives bonuses, it permits us to use Psi-surge as well (and Mindblast too!)!Consider this text: See?You may add +4CS for Psi-surge(+2 for mindblast).I choose this option instead of throwing Dagger of Vashna....sometimes...... We don't know why the Great Master doesn't carry them... What Great Master?Did I miss something?

It seems two items are missing, if my memory works ok:
the magical spike you wrest from Tagazin in book 17
if I remember correctly, some kind of Mythenish spear-like weapon you can get at the beginning of book 28 from the armory, but that would be a 2-handed weapon, probably.

The spike in book 17 only allows you to fight Ixiataaga if you don't have the Sommerswerd. If you don't have one of these two weapons, you are doomed. But otherwise, this spike is useless for the other books. As for that spear in book 28, it is called a Kirusami and it gives a +1 CS bonus.
