Magnamund.org - Last touched in 2003, but no new content since 2002. This was meant to be a portal site for Lone Wolf related stuff on the web, and some interesting things like the Rising Sun webzine issues are stored here. Who is/was responsible for this site? Was it Julian Egelstaff? Magnamund.org was something that Julian and I started to build. The intent was it to be a portal site that followed LW online and maybe slowly generating its own stuff. I think it had a lot of potential and I think the URL was the perfect name for it. I think we were using a Lotus collaboration program to share data and my crappy old computer didn't handle it well and died and the site started but fell in a heap. My internet connection was lucky to connect and when it did, it was at 28.8 using a 56k modem. Sadly in the end Julian I lost contact. I'd love to know what he's up to these days. In the end PA probably filled the void even though it's not particularly active. But I guess LW is fairly niche so it's not surprising. Lake Vorndarol - Peter Cook's not so content rich site, last updated in 2000. Lake Vorndarol suffered a similar fate. It started as a grand plan (but more information than fan content), was slowly growing and I had other stuff to post but it was lost with the machine crash (think I still have the HDD somewhere) and I ended up losing the login details and probably the email address I was using to access it. In the end life moved on and I didn't have anything to do with Lone Wolf (I contributed to Project Aon at some point) until relatively recently. The thought about getting a community portal running has bounced around my head again (I had thought maybe a Lone Wolf blog like Ye Olde Inn has for the HeroQuest forum I'm on) but that takes a lot of work and I wouldn't want to start something I couldn't continue like last time. Besides, today's style of web usage is completely different. It's more scatter gun than anything. People look for information, google this, google that as opposed to sticking to select sites. But it would have been neat to have had a blog that existed before tracking developments like Mongoose, PA, LWAG, Chalk's game etc
