Hello, I've been a fan of Lonewolf for a long time and am just now getting around to dropping a line here.
First wanted to give props to all those involved in Project Aon, the formating and organization on these online books is simply astounding, and I am very greatful. It's nice to be able to revisit this imaginary world without conducting a needle in the haystack hunt on E-bay for books. Thank you.
And now on to the musing... I was wondering with all of the support and interest that Lonewolf seems to have, (which may be humble compared to Tolkein, the Forgotten Realms or some other works, but still appears to have many active members) , is it in the works to create a site or possibly expand this one to encompass the lore of the Magnamund world in a more stimulating manner? I mean, don't get me wrong, this site is great, and I like Aon as it is to archive the actual books themselves. But it would be nice to maybe see a sister site that follows the theme of the lonewolf books and has a more artistic look than the simple HTML text sites that populate much of the community outside of this site. I know time is the biggest factor, but would it be possible to coordinate an effort to build such a site that could serve as an online companion?
There is a huge wealth of information about this fantasy world floating around out there and I am sure a fitting tribute could be put together to reflect the quality of the community. Considering the copyright issues involved, (there should be no need to scan and post all the images from the books themselves for a companion site like I am describing), there has to be gifted people available that could emulate the artistic works of Mr Gary Chalk and help create non propietary images that fit the spirit of the realm and maintain a cohesive look that feels right.
I am not proposing work for others to do, and would be happy to assist should any effort be organized. I am fairly skilled in Photoshop and Illustrator and should be able to make a contribution.
Forgive me for the long winded writing, but should you get this far, thanks for reading!
