Interesting... It would be great to have Healing and Sixth Sense. Sixth Sense to prevent to go into trouble, and Healing if Sixth Sense wouldn't work. Maybe Mindshiled could be really helpful in squabbles with fellow workers.

Dissect that statement any way you like.

Seems like Sixth Sense and Mind Over Matter are hands-down winners here. I'd go for Mindshield if it could only protect my spyware-crusted computer.

It does make a difference, since the actual _Mind Charm_ ability is only available as a Kai-alchemy spell. Mindblast, Psi-surge, Kai-surge and the like are all strictly offensive abilities -- you can blast people into unconsciousness but you can't do anything more gentle and useful to their mind.

What's the functional difference between Mindblasting somebody and Mind Charming them, saying, "You feel really tired and you want to go to sleep"?
In the book we're told that people of very great mental strength can overcome Mind Charm while they can't resist the force of a true psychic attack. But, well, we live in a world without psychic powers and psychic training, for the most part. Unless you'd really like the ability to blast roomfuls of people into unconsciousness at once and kill people by melting their brains from a great distance, Mind Charm's the way to go.

Well the best should be sixth sense. You could take it to Vegas and make a packet.
The worst would be curing. You'd immidiately be labelled a new messiah and inevitably cruisified.

In Vegas, you will be cut into pieces by the mafia, don't you think??? ;D Except you'd know they were coming, and you'd high-tail it out of the desert. Of course, anyone with any sense would spread it around a bit, never win too much at any one table or at any one casino, work your way around, that sort of thing. I'd think Mind Over Matter might be more effective in some cases, though--why try and predict what you're going to throw at craps when you can just make the dice keep tumbling until they land on what you want?

It's a tough call, honestly. Obviously Disciplines like Mindshield and Weaponskill have little to no practical purpose to us in modern-day Earth, so they're not very good choices. Mindshield would be absolutely useless, and Weaponskill would be mostly for show, because people just don't walk around with melee weapons anymore.
That leaves us Camouflage, Tracking, Healing, Mindblast, Mind Over Matter, Animal Kinship, Sixth Sense, and Hunting. Some of these end up being little more than parlor tricks, others are useful only to specific groups of people (why would you need Animal Kinship if you didn't work with animals?), and others have more practical applications.
Sixth Sense is one of those things that would work all the time, in a variety of situations, and would therefore come in very handy. I think that's probably my choice, even if it isn't my favorite Discipline.
