Yep, the number of stars will grow with your post count, until a maximum of five stars (so Zipp won't be getting any more). Completely pointless really. They are not possible to remove, but if an admin has a bad day they might be fixed to a certain number (like one).
Admins and mods always have five stars, with different colours depending on their position.

That's just how Proboards (the board software we use here) work...you get stars under your name depending on the number of posts you have and whether or not you are staff.

Yeah, I assumed the stars were related to post count. Is there a list of how many posts equal how many stars? It's not a big deal. I'm just curious.

The default is something like this:
1 star - 0 posts
2 stars - 50 posts
3 stars - 100 posts
4 stars - 250 posts
5 stars - 500 posts
It might be different on this board though, I think the admin can customize it...
