Right. Let's just go find a Dessi Stone, but if it's anything like the legendary Bezoar stone, which promised excellent health, it's probably just extremely poisonous.

My suggestion is that you eat the Dessi Stone. That way, you'd just be magical, and you could lose your weapons without worry. Every tin pan, rolling pin, and dead chicken you pick up has the potential to be a deadly magical weapon of legend. Just imagine the fear in the hearts of evildoers when they witness the awesome might of... the Sommerfowl! ...Been reading the Supreme Kai Disciplines? At the rank of Supreme Enormous Incredible Super-Awesome Kai Sex God, Lone Wolf's Weaponcraft ability gives him the power to swallow Dessi Stones and iron ingots and crap out Sommerswerds at will. Only Kai Grand Masters with the disciplines of Deliverance, Grand Nexus and Kai-Screen can wield such weapons without being seriously grossed out.

After reading that, Artichu, I began laughing so hard at my desk that my boss asked what was so funny, and I had to immediately switch back to actually working in order to throw him off the scent.
I don’t want to know what kind of process is involved in actually passing a Sommerswerd, but the very idea of such a thing gives me the hinks.

What job do you actually do, DF, that you can sit on the Internet for hours and no one even notices?

I work for an internet marketing company. I’m in their Client Services department (which is not like the Customer Service department or any sort of similar call center), and I handle Cancellations. As my job has a lot of short bursts of dead time and requires ridiculous amounts of email and internet usage anyway, I tend to be able to get away with browsing a few forums, checking out a cool web site or two, clicking donations on Care2.com, catching up on Sluggy Freelance or Get Fuzzy, monitoring eBay auctions… all that basic web stuff. In essence, I just kind of get away with it because it’s the online equivalent of whistling while I work.

I mostly browse the internet while I'm on the phone with clients, not actually paying attention to a word they say. And yes, I still get my work done--I'm very efficient at multitasking while slacking off.

Does anyone know what else a Dessi Stone does, such as why Banedon had it in the first place, I get the impression that Banedon was given it for a task and then kept it till he felt someone else might need it, someone being LW ofcause...

I think Banedon has to have a Dessi Stone because the Brotherhood can't afford to equip their members with glowing blue magic shortswords the way those stuck-up Elder Magi who own their own country and everything can. And Banedon can't save up to buy a proper magic weapon because, well, the upkeep on a big flying ship with dwarves is kind of expensive. (The Bor-brew bills alone...)
