I was interested in volunteering some of my time for proof reading the books, but I don't have the books to compare to the scanned version.
I was wondering if a copy of the scan is available in jpg/pdf/bmp format so that I could get a copy of the OCX version and original version to help with proof reading?

I very much doubt this is possible, I'm afraid. The text PA receives has already been OCRed, so we don't have access to any page scans, and they would likely be very large (each image 300dpi for decent quality OCR, and either full colour or greyscale). An archive of such scanned pages could be 10s of Mb in size.

That's the reason i've never volunteered myself Ita1crx I would LOVE to help with the proofreading, but I don't own full copies of the Grand Master Books (only the neutered American copies)
