Oh yeah, forgot the i. Oops. That's embarrasing. I've even studied japanese and i missed it.
... wait a minute, did you say you practice it too? What year are you? I'm only a first year student myself.

Well, wait a minute.. * counting his fingers while thinking * I'm in my 7th year of practising now.. But I had a break in the middle of the time for 6 full years! (I'm at the Ki-no-Kenkyukai, doing the style originating from Koichi Tohei Sensei.)

I'm performing a mix of styles, Tohei being very prominent among them.

That's really interesting! - But we get a little off-topic. If we want to discuss Aikido, we should move to a Aikido-Forum...

As for counting the maps as special items, I find it comes in handy in Book 6 when I give Altan 2 old maps for his horse.
Altan: "What's in this tube? Is it a magical weapon of some sort?"
Lone Wolf: "Uh yeah...two of them in fact."
Altan: "I can't seem to get the top off. Give me a minute."
Lone Wolf: "Gotta go!" *runs*

My most memorable trade was a Black Sash and something else. ;D Probably the Ticket to Port Bax. Too, too easy--plus it means I keep the maps!

Well I never counted the map as a Special Item. I always assumed it was simply an "aether-item", to be consulted when needed and ignored when not. Kinda like D&D familiars, really NS.

Also, every time Lone Wolf dies, you have to burn your copy of the book and buy a new one. This too is clarified in a newsletter and is the actual reason behind the massive sales of the book. Alternately, for anyone who cannot bear the thought of burning the books, you can donate them to me and I will make sure to keep them in nice condition without letting any harm come to them. I'll keep them next to my own copies, for that matter! ~Relenoir, who figures this is a great scam for anyone who falls for it, and ultimately will end up with a PERFECT set of all the books. Probably not though. . .
