Hi everyone,
It's been awhile since I visited this site and I've forgot how to read the books offline after I download them. Could somebody please help?

It's easiest to read them if you also download the "base package" and extract it in the same directory as the books (i.e. where the "xhtml" directory is - but not in the xhtml directory). Extracting the base package will leave an "index.htm" file there - open that one.

You could be a little more clear, Thomas! You confused me for a moment there. ;D
Easiest way is to create a new folder called "Lone Wolf" (or "Project Aon", or whatever; something that's easy to recognise and find). Download the Base Package from the website and extract the files there. Then download the book or books. Extract those to the same folder (they should automatically use the proper folder structure). Then, as Thomas says, open the file index.htm in the Lone Wolf folder.
Hope it helps.

Thanks guys,
I did make a lone wolf file, however the problem was I had made a different folder for the base package, the stat keeper, ect in the lone wolf file. I deleted all that and reunzipped them to fix it (i think). I did a quick check for now, but will see if it will work off line in the morning.

Hi there. I had to download Statskeeper again because I had a very old version on my computer. :-\ Currently, the LWAC java program doesn't really support the Grey Star books, so you should use Statskeeper. Download the file as normal from the Project Aon website, then extract it to the main "Lone Wolf" directory. Then redownload and extract the base package archive. I'm not sure what the problem is, but the Base package needs to overwrite some files for the thing to work. Hmm. Once everything's been extracted to the "Lone Wolf" (or whatever) folder, open the index.htm file and select Statskeeper as the "format" (the second dropdown menu). You'll actually have to select which book you want to use about 3 times, (once on the dropdown menu, then whether it's Lone Wolf or Grey Star on the next screen, then the book title again on the next screen) which is a bit annoying, but as I didn't write Statskeeper . . . Eventually, if you follow the links, you will be able to read the book and use Statskeeper with it. Hope it helps!

This is almost certainly because Statskeeper saves the information as a 'cookie' file. If you block cookies on your computer, or if you flush your internet cache on a regular basis, the cookie will be deleted. Jon Blake, project coordinator and designer of Statskeeper has apologised a number of times for ever using a cookie to keep track of the information, but it just seemed like the best idea at the time.
Until something like LWAC supports all four systems (Lone Wolf, New Order, Grey Star, Freeway Warrior), and until it displays the actual text as part of the game window, it is unlikely that Statskeeper will be discontinued as it is the easiest way to keep track of game information; but it does mean that internet cache cleaning will remove the savegame cookie. :-\
