Hi y'all I've recently been trawling through various Lone Wolf-related books and I've noticed the spelling of place names can vary between books--even somethimes WITHIN a book. Can anyone shed any light on which if the following is accurate? In the Magnamund Companion p. 8 the Hardlands are called TADATIZAGAZA. In the Magnamund Companion p.26 the Hardlands are called TADATIZAGA. Additionally, in the Magnamund Companion p. 6 (map) the capital of Skaror is called CRAGMANTLE. In the Magnamund Companion p. 27 the capital of Skaror is called CRAGMANTEL. Well done, editor Alison Berry and your army of dedicated proofreaders.

As far as this goes, I assume the second spelling is correct. First off, there are at least two other area similarly named: Gourizaga, which is to the north, and Naogizaga to the south. Gour means cold in the Giak dictionary, Naog means no or negative, and Tadat means hard, so although it isn't listed, I imagine Izaga means land or ground. It may also be listed in some of the expanded Giak dictionary listings in the Lone Wolf Club Newsletters, but I haven't checked yet. Secondly, in book 17, it is listed as Tadatizaga, an additional source further supporting this. I can further back up what Thom says: It's Cragmantle on the map in the book too.

I assumed TadatiZAGA was correct, but the presence of the ZA on the end in a couple of instances threw me.

Damnit! I'd forgotten all about the Cragmantel issue! Now fixed in source file, pending output to a revised pre-release version tomorrow . . . *sigh*.
