Hi.
appologies for the Long absense, I've been variously busy with a fair few things, ----- including moving out of Uni into my new and fun flat. If nobody remembers who I am, ----- well never mind, --- I foget forget most of the time as well!
anyway, I was wondering how Zip's extegoing? nded fights project is going? I really enjoyed the gourgaz and the Helghast, and i'm really looking forward to protracted duels with other nasties, ----- I particularly can't wait for a big showdown with Gnaag!
so appologies for the huuuuuuuuuge absense, but I am actually back now, and will also be casting a Pod about Projectaon and Lw this evening as well.

Er, guess I should've caught this several months ago... what was I doing in September... being lonely? Or was that when I finally made friends in Eugene?
Anyways, no further work has been done on the boss fights, though I have my notes around still, and was working on Vonotar and the Akraneeoner (however you spell that).
There was talk for a while of Mongoose actually sponsoring the next couple fights to be put in the new books, but I haven't heard anything from them since before you wrote this topic.
Actually, that's a lie. I had a disheartening "we may still be interested" letter from them sometime in November.
Yeah.
Anyways, you never know... I may pick up the fights again. But my big project right now is to complete the movie I've been filming and get it to theatres.

AHA! Now we get why you haven't been around as much! And this year has been flying by - September was not that long ago! Anyway, good luck man! Let us know if we can do anygrass roots advertising. Not saying we'll do it, but let us know anyway

To hell with being a minimum of 6000 miles away, I'm sure we can help

Yeah, if you can get people to fly out to America to see my movie... hey, more power to you!
In all seriousness, though, it will go on DVD sale eventually, probably by the end of this coming summer. That's if we finish editing on time, hoping for the beginning of Summer to see the end date on the project as a whole.
As a matter of fact, I'm sitting here, editing it now...

One can only hope to try! DVDs also make fantastic gifts in lieu of actual thought

Vonotar and the Akraneeoner (however you spell that). Well, if you have time in the future, I'd love to see expanded fights for those guys. The Akraneeoner (or whatever) is too awesome a monster to die so easily. But of course, the combat in greatest need of expansion is the Gnaag confrontation in Book 12.

I actually have yet to read book 12 (reveals Zipp's dark secret).
But I will do so once I have time, and I may just go ahead and make that fight. Could be fun. And in some ways, simpler than the Akranee'oner fight.

Just wondering if there was any word on new 'legendary fights' coming from Zipp? ...

I think from the various project we've heard about, this might be lower priority

Shame. It's a great idea. Maybe when he's wrapped up all that pesky rl stuff we could pester him until he succumbs!

As pretty much a newcomer to these forums (though not PA/LW/etc.), can I ask what this project is/was? It seems to me that it was adding new sections to extend some of the more 'epic' LW battles... if so, that sounds fantastic! I noticed another topic on the subject, but the download link didn't work. Can anyone enlighten me more?

The downloads are still available, go to the forge forum of tower of the sun if nowhere else
Basically, they were in the sytle of way of the tiger - you would make text based combat decisions during the fight to reduce your enemy's EP. Even if the fight did go back to being a normal fight, you choices, not CS, would decide the combat ratio. Also, your CS allowed for a better tactical choice in one of them
