You know, Thomas, I was wondering. How did it happen that Joe came to you of all people and proposed this site? Explain the "of all people" part, because I'm sure it wasn't a coincedence. I mean, did you know Joe previously or something?

Actually I think it was Jonathan Blake whom Joe Dever approached -- the online LW community in general, and Jon Blake "of all people" as the maintainer of one of the larger fansites around (Desert Lynx's Oasis or some such). *digs a bit for the official PA history* Hrmm. I know I've read one, but it was probably on the mailing list, and probably back in the Topica list days, meaning the easiest archive for me to search is my own computer... in Australia.

I know Blake. Haven't talked to him in forever. A tad eccentric, if I remember correctly (a good thing). Fairly straight forward. And so Thomas just sort've got elected to head the project?

Hey, I'm not heading the project, it's still Jon Blake at the reins there. I wasn't even part of it from the beginning, I just somehow became the admin of the forum (I still haven't quite figured out how that happened really...). And I'm sort of the coordinator of the activities on the Grey Star books.
Peregrine got the details right; there is more in some interviews somewhere...

Oh okay. I was just curious, is all. I remember Project Aon sorta popping out of thin air into my life, I never knew much about its history. And I thought it would be cool (though scary, in a way) to be contacted by Joe with an idea like this.

I mean, did you know Joe previously or something? Extremely coincidental that you should mention this Zipp! I just asked Outspaced more or less the same question the other morning during a chat! Great minds think alike I guess. ;D

Let's hope I can use my great mind to maneuver myself through a chat program (um, get this program to work) and thus JOIN you in that chat this weekend. Maybe the universe doesn't want such great minds to come together.

I remember the original announcement to the Kaiwisdom list. I wasn't sure whether to believe it at first. But it was indeed true. It was a severely happy moment for me. I'm on the comments page too. Fourth one down, 'Dan Evans'. -GB

Now isn't that interesting? Look up at Peregrine's post and you'll notice that he has NO stars!
NS.
OK, ignore me. It seems that ALL Kai Masters have lost their stars!

Not to, err, encourage this off-topicness *glances nervously at Thomas* , but I'm pretty sure that's because I only get my stars in my own forum. That's the price of getting them the 'easy' way...

Hm? Oh, do you mean your own moderated section?
(When you say forum I think of an entirely new forum, owned by you. I have one, and my stars are the same here.)
